Voting is open now to vote for the BBC woman’s hour sportswoman of the year I voted for Sharron Davies because of her continued support for keeping women’s sport single sex. she’s been talking about this for years and it must’ve been at some personal cost to her and it would be great to see her recognised.

I voted Sharron Davies for leader too! Thanks for highlighting this.

Just a word of caution - spell her name correctly as I fear that the goons at the BBC will be looking for any reason at all for her not to win this. I hope so much that she does.
Sharron Davies

Bumping this - I would love Sharron to get the public acknowledgment she deserves.

She was one of my childhood heroes & she has only improved with (our!) age!

crazyBadger · 03/02/2023 17:53

I think we are voting for women to go on a list of 30, so it will recognise other women as well as the one who the panel decides should be number 1.

From the Privacy Notice

“Our expert judging panel will shortlist a final thirty (30) women, and then rank them. Before deciding on a shortlist, we may get in touch with you for more information about your suggestion. We may also ask you to appear on-air to discuss the reasons behind your suggesting someone for the list.”
