I saw a trans woman on my hinge feed with a photo of them holding a "terf tears" cup. I messaged that they should ditch the offensive cup if they want a date. The convo started and I said I wasn't trans exclusionary or radical but didn't think it possible to change sex. I was subjected to the usual aggression and condescension plus links to books about trans journeys. I said I didn't need education on the subject but I sincerely wish you well. This morning I couldn't log in, my account was shut down and was given a link to appeal.
I've emailed to say I've been removed without warning or notification.
They're allowed to kick off whoever they like I assume but is there anything I can do? Surely people on Hinge have varying beliefs...

<Shrug> If you see a picture on a dating feed that's racist, or homophobic, or as in this case prejudiced and unpleasantly misogynistic, you're probably going to think that person's a twit and move on by. Why try and start arguing with them? And why be surprised when they don't respond well?

You don't have to present a counter argument when someone has decided to message you for non dating purposes on a dating app

And whilst I think the OP should have reported the photo as offensive to Hinge, unless there is evidence that TRAs messaging GC people out of the blue for non dating purposes are not banned then there are no legal avenues of redress.

I’d argue it was a bit bloody daft to go looking for an argument here, they showed what sort of person they are with the offending photo, did you expect anything other than dramatics and attempts to ban you?

If they don't respond, OP, submit a subject access request.

Assuming they are rejecting your custom because of your political views, I would be tempted to at least consider legal avenues of redress.

Indeed they are. Including the OP when she says 'didn't think it was possible to change sex.' Which it isn't.

Sorry - the OP was being deliberately goady. Seems they are being here too with the number of posts about this event. She was excluded, I would assume, because she was going out of her way start a bunfight, and not for her beliefs. If you don't want to date someone on a dating site, don't contact them, and don't then start a deliberate argument with them.

Confront what you want, get banned. Seriously it's fine to be gender critical I am too, it's not your right to assert your views on random people though. They are allowed to not agree with you.

Why confront them? The pool of people willing to date them is self limiting anyway. I think you were in the wrong. People are allowed to believe what they want.

because I should be able to confront anything I find offensive, i didn't have them chucked off...
