A Terven of witches and not one can rustle up a decent find the video spell.

We've been waiting for an updated edition of the Spells since 1876.

This is insufferable!!

Rightsraptor · 28/01/2023 19:46

Yes Sarah was on, as was Robin M White.

Oh no! Don't ask me for links! Eek - technology. <trembles>

I want to write more about some of Robin's comments but need my lap top, so will return.

Sarah was very good as ever. And called Adam Graham and 'Tiffany Scott' by male names and pronouns. Robin distanced robinself from Adam Graham by saying 'they'. Looks like Adam has been expelled from the club.

MorvenOfMalvern · 28/01/2023 19:11

Do share a link if you have one (how does one watch GB News if one isn't to rely on the wonderful witches of FWR for all their terven news clips gifted to them on a plate?)

(Now, as my name is Morven, and I don't want to pull rank, but I actually identify as a Scottish witch. I've changed my name to better suit my identity and the least you can do is give me a part? I mean I know there's only 3 and they're already taken but I do need you to accept without exception...and affirm my Scottish witch ID)

GB News covering the 'Isla Bryson' story now. With Sarah, I presume.

Bugger just seen this. Was she on?

I've been waiting in my dressing room (the flowers were lovely btw). Got bored, so decided to go looking for Keanu John. @Boiledbeetle , what did you do him? Talk about a limp wick!

I've had to tuck him up in bed with some warm milk, dim lighting and ambient noise. He's sound asleep now, muttering about marshmallows!

He thought I was joking when I asked if he wanting to see my rack!

Then of course the crank shaft broke and the RAC (Rack Accessability Cat) took forever because he was asleep on Robin's lap.

By the time he arrived poor wick, looked like limp spaghetti!

I had to perform the marshmallow spell to get him back to normal, but of course there is that five minutes where you really feel like you are a marshmallow.

Don't feed him sweet things. He'll be good for a go by 9pm.

Did your spell go wrong? Crack in the cauldron? Accidentally throw in a toad identifying as a newt? I can only see two crossed boxes....unless your auditioning fur the role of Malvolio then it makes prefect sense

I was auditioning to be a witch in Macbeth and showed the first two words of my speech.

Well you're hired! I've recently had dental work it's like breaking in new shoes. I can't talk properly.

I was working long, long hours. Away for weeks at a time in hotel rooms (just because a hotel has the word Quality in the title don't assume it means good quality).

I remember it being in the news a bit, but I don't remember it being in the papers much.

I certainly don't remember Labour taking the trouble to ensure all women knew exactly what was going to happen by this simple little bit of paperwork updating to make 5000 men happy.

I remember hearing in the news that people could get the sex on their birth certificates changed - and thinking wtf? Wha? It was presented positively, but I remember feeling really uneasy about people being able to change their most important identity document. No one really talked about it. Just a few raised eyebrows and quiet frowns iirc.

Since these people cannot help but boast. Christine Burns later crowed about getting the privacy clause in, being the first to get a GRA and how Press for Change’s sneakiness meant that there ‘wasn’t much fuss in the press’

Stephen Whittle boasted about how they sneaked it through, getting the vote tabled late on the agenda when there would be fewer MPs around.

Anyone who was a politically aware adult in 2004, do you remember the GRA being passed? Was there any public debate?

I wasn’t aware of any debate. And that amazes me now, because I was very politically active at the time and an ardent feminist since the 1970s. The invasion of Iraq was the main political issue of the time (to me and many others). I’m pretty sure I didn’t even hear of the GRA, because I think I would have been concerned if I had.

I feel ashamed reading @Mrshoho ‘s comment. She was a busy new mum at the time, but still managed to notice what was happening around her! Long-overdue kudos to her FIL for not having the soft fluffy wool pulled over his eyes.

We are going to have to do a month of shows. With a different Macbeth each night!

Of course. Macbeth is a spectrum. There are many ways to be Macbeth. The traditional idea of an ambitious lordling who murders his king is true for some, but it's equally valid for Macbeth to work in B&Q in Hull. All Macbeths must be validated and accepted.

The other parts have to stay exactly as they are though obviously. How can a Macbeth truly express their inner truth if everyone else is messing around changing things?

You make a good point

Maybe the director and producer, any volenteers? could ensure that going forward just the leading man characters can be fluid in their interpretation and presentation. Be led by what the actor sees the role as.

Slightly different Shakespeare play, but once you've read one you've read them all!

Having watched Roland Gift once play Romeo on stage in Hull, he'd have been better off working in B and Q. I'd have been better off wandering around B and Q for two hours and spending my ticket money on planks of wood!

Of course Robin is still reading, because Robin only cares about Robin’s feelings. But Robin is in a bind because Robin knows that if Robin reengages with the thread then Robin will have to answer as to why Robin felt the need to imply everyone here is a witch. As we all know, Robin doesn’t like to answer direct questions, as evident by all of Robin’s previous appearances on threads.

It must be doing Robin’s head in🤣.

And we've still got another 500+ posts to enjoy it!

I'd like to play Nicola Sturgeon as Lady Macbeth, frantically washing my hands but somehow never being able to wash off the stains of what I've done.

P.S. I identify as being literally eight foot tall biologically.

I'm so sorry for mis heighting you and Dial. I just thought it would be OK me stealing your names and heights and completely misrepresenting what they were.

Like the Sturgeon idea.

New broomstick? Does it have a knob on the end?

I want to go all John fuckin' Wick on Brutus and the rest of 'em. Then have a passionate liaison with Mark Anthony.....and John Wick.

Have those flowers delivered to my dressing room.

YOUR dressing room certainly.

The knob costs an extra £3K, and to be honest I don't think it's worth it. As to be honest the broomstick works perfectly well without a knob on it. Has done for centuries of us witches.

If its not broke don't fix it.

Witches and broomstick and black cats. Perfect as they are. and very picky on the members of our Tervens

Erm...John Wick is otherwise engaged right now. I'll send him along the corridor when I'm done!

I see what you're saying Boiled but I suspect that Robin is still reading. Possibly through Robin's fingers and behind the settee though.

Well....I didn't like to say!

Very 1970s Dr Who connection. Clever!
