India Willoughby - can we take a moment an address the increasing hysteria and vile comments on their social media - X in particular.

In the past 24 hours he has slated Nick Wallis, JKR, Helen Joyce, Maya Forstater this list goes on.

It really feels at this stage that a close one to India should stage an intervention.

He really hates ageing doesn't he. It's one of his go to insults which is ironic since he'll be collecting his pension in 5 years.

And he's a hypocrite too as he pays Elon Musk for the privilege of being able to post misogynistic comments online yet claims he isn't one of them.

*biddy not buddy!

YouCanCallMeMonster · Today 11:52

IW is a thoroughly unpleasant, miserable man. He is also a rage baiting grifter who needs the attention both for his ego and his wallet. Those things don’t stop him potentially being vulnerable and requiring an intervention. He thought he was going to build a career as the daytime panel show resident transwoman but he is too unpleasant, boring and lacking in talent even for those low-bar options.

I suspect his use of ‘tennis bat’ was deliberate as ‘bat’, ‘’buddy’, ‘bag’ are all in his arsenal of insults for women.

I'm not surprised this is happening to IW, likely others.

They were given something they wanted, they valued and they thought they would always have it. This thing (validation and the ability to make people do and say what they wanted) made them feel powerful and special, boosting their self esteem.

Now reality is setting in for them as well as everyone else - and the reality of their ageing body (which is tough for all of us to cope with) which has maybe not lived up to expectations along with possible side effects from medication may be making life difficult.

Add to that the mental challenge of no longer having others constantly validating you and how that feels. Maybe the reason you were so unhappy with your body in the first place is no longer able to be suppressed or distracted from. You actually have to face it.

It's quite sad really. :(

The DSM V must be due an update soon; I presume it’s compiled by clinical psychologists/therapists/academics, who must be seeing increasing evidence for a Gender Identity Personality Disorder.

Having proposed this, I tend to think this type of behaviour is covered by existing Cluster B personality disorders.

Edit: this isn’t ‘j’accuse’, it’s just an observation about how humans have(n’t) adjusted to the modern world. It’s all about external validation and maladaptive responses to sad feelings.

I hope every single one of you have a child that is trans

I do. And I love them to pieces and they love me similarly. Unlike India and men like him, my child is neither racist nor misogynist and uses appropriate facilities for their sex, which they know they cannot change. As a rape survivor they understand that female only spaces, particularly rape and DV shelters and support, should be free of men, however they present or identify. It's vanishingly rare, I know, but it's possible to be trans and not a complete bell end.

Very transphobic of you to wish trans children on others as if it's a punishment. You ought to be ashamed.

Margaritaaahhh · Today 07:39

@TransParentlyAnnoyed why are you so supportive of someone who is a proven misogynist and racist? What does supporting someone like that say about you? Do you condone his misogyny and racism? It's just that I've not seen you condemn him at all. In fact, you've excused his behaviour as a reasonable reaction to what you see as 'transphobia'.

Given you've done this, I expect you'll be understanding of women who are rape and DV survivors not wanting to share their female only spaces with men like India - men who have proven themselves, very publicly and repeatedly, to harbour aggressive and violent views about women. That is a reaction to fearing for our safety around violent men due to our own lived experience. I'm sure you'll apply your logic to women like me, who fled to a refuge in the middle of the night with absolutely nothing to escape from their violent, rapist partner. And the millions of women around the world like me.

I'm not sure why you feel that a violently aggressive, racist misogynist deserves your support over female survivors of SA and DV. Or why you'd support someone like that at all. Unless, of course, you share his views.

He would if he could! Or maybe, like the suggestion for Loretta’s notional gestating child in Life of Brian, he keeps his cervix in a box, to be brought out for parties, Christmas etc?

Undoubtably!

But I'm also quoting this utterly magnificant song by PJ Harvey. If you don't know it you are in for a treat. PJ Harvey said it was an autobiographical and funny song for her, but for me it's always been a slice of female rage at the way our bodies are both desired and judged, and how that fucks up our own feelings about our bodies as well.

This is just misogyny btw. Women don't owe anyone their appearance.

Do tell India that. India is revoltingly focused on women's appearance and is appallingly insulting about women who don’t try to fit the Barbie look, which is obviously what India thinks is what all women should aspire to.

Try telling HIM that. The irony of this post is off the scale.

Absolutely. I can't fathom anyone defending him after what he's said about women's appearance and women in general.

Well if we keep our children away from all the nonsense that was pushed out at schools and on t’internet, and people who say this sort of thing, then i think time will tell that this problem will just fizzle out.

We have a way to go yet but, long may the pushback continue, until and when children are allowed to grow up gay or straight, and be happy in the only body they will ever have.

And children are no longer used and groomed to justify adult proclivities.

JanesLittleGirl · Yesterday 22:34

I feel very sorry for him. He went all in on two of a kind and, several years later, has realised that he has lost. Where the fuck can he go except to scream into the incoming wind? Poor lost soul.

We're all quite educated enoughon the matter, hun. Windy's a man. Born a man, is a man and should an archaeologist dig him up in 500 years time, they'll find a man.

Still blethering on about us educating ourselves? So 2020. We've learned a LOT since then. Unfortunately for transactivism.

What a very strange thing to hope for.

We hear all the time about how hard and scary is to be trans. What with the current genocide that is apparently happening to trans people; and how they are the most likely to be murdered or take their own lives.

Why would you wish that on children?

Shame on you for using young people as some kind of weapon to lash out.

Children who are told they are trans by adults like you need safeguarding and proper mental health support, not drugs and brainwashing from people who make money out of their confusion.

I'd be very surprised to discover I had a trans child.

Mind you I'd be more surprised to discover I had a child at all.

You might want to tell the nasty racist misogynistic man that you support exactly that. Hun.
