It was GCC where a leading lawyer couldn’t remember anything because she was reversing into a bin.

I had forgotten about that! 😂

It was on the same day as my son's sports day, and I've just been instantly transported back there.

Now only 21 observers, and only 12 not connected to court/team.

I’ve just nipped out to the dentist but am back in the waiting room.

Sisterpita · 04/10/2023 15:34

Yes it was Michelle Brewer who was incensed Ben didn’t ask her certain questions as she was so determined to point out how vulnerable the trans people she represented were so did an unprompted speech. He obliviousness to another point of view was staggering.

It was LGB Alliance/Mermaids

popebishop · 04/10/2023 15:29

There was a dramatic actual re-enactment of one of the tribunals, wasn't there? Was it Allison Bailey's?

ickky · 04/10/2023 15:27

no, just turned it up to eleven

Has the sound fallen off a bit or is it me?

ickky · 04/10/2023 15:25

Was it Michelle Brewer? I think talking on the phone to someone at stonewall to get them to put in a complaint about Allison (allegedly)

While on the phone...

RocketPanda · 04/10/2023 15:24

At Christmas

PoseasRadicalActuallyMisogynistic · 04/10/2023 15:24

im waiting for the play to come out, hopefully Glinner will be getting some inspiration

LipbalmOrKnickers · 04/10/2023 15:24

And we're back in the room, with apologies for 'slight slippage'.

VWdieselnightmare · 04/10/2023 15:24

In a car filled with children while on holiday, IIRC.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 04/10/2023 15:23

Still waiting for conference host to join. I assume they're arranging a small ceremony for the timetable at this point.

AutumnCrow · 04/10/2023 15:22

Am I imagining this, or was someone from GCC so upset they drove into a bin?

LipbalmOrKnickers · 04/10/2023 15:21

Neither can I, it was another one with a cast of thousands.

ickky · 04/10/2023 15:20

Yes it was the rabble rouser future judge. Can't remember her name.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 04/10/2023 15:17

Was it GCC that featured Bingate?

RocketPanda · 04/10/2023 15:15

They get a quare lot of breaks don't they.

I think Garden Court Chambers is also a strong contender for the bollocks award too.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 04/10/2023 15:07

Break til 3:20

pronounsbundlebundle · 04/10/2023 15:02

One thing I've been amazed at with this whole gender debacle is how many people in professional positions think they can wing it in court (Mermaids had to be the winner of the 'genuinely thinking we can spout utter bollocks in court' award but there were several strong contenders).

Well winging it doesn't work with Ben Cooper. He knows the detail and anyone coming up against him who doesn't, well they're toast.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 04/10/2023 14:55

Ou brief just said Jo gave inaugural address at OU conference in May but had not mentioned this - it's right at the beginning of her witness statement (the only bit I've been able to read in breaks so far!) BC caught it and corrected of course, but does not bode well for OU if they were relying on the omission to build to a point?
