Worth a watch whilst you've got the kettle on, can't decide if it's 4D chess or not at this point!

It's not the dressing up that was the issue for the teens, but the insistence that the costume literally made him a woman.

I think Lemieux has himself actually said very little. And saying you are a woman makes you a woman is the philosophy of self ID. No one can't say he isn't a woman if he self IDs as one via his gender expression. That is the point he is making.

BabyStopCryin · 11/09/2023 08:06

So the people who batted for him - his old school managers who said it was ‘her’ right to dress like this etc - what re they all dating now?

How are you suddenly the spokesperson for teens, and able to confidently state what does and doesn’t traumatise them?

That actually is what you are doing.

And I have worked in high schools in Canada so I have a pretty good sense of Canadian teens.

saffronsoup · 11/09/2023 06:26

I think your desire for teens to be traumatized and scarred is far worse. Wanting kids to be harmed because it better fits for narrative is scary.

And it is dismissive of people who have experienced trauma to try to make seeing a man in a wig and some fake boobs a psychologically scarring event because of your personal worldview.

teens have seen rupauls drag race. They aren’t scarred by a man dressing up in some crazy outfit.

I was just going to say that, has he said anything at all about the fact that he formerly claimed the breasts were real?

Why would he say anything? He is mocking the view that one can say anything and that makes it true. One can say I am a woman and therefore I am and no one can question it. One can say my breasts are real and therefore they are and no one can question it. He took the absurdity of it to a greater level than most are prepared to. Now he has changed how he self identifies and again no one can question it or the change. He can flip flop identifies to his hearst content and say wahtever he wants. He is showing the absurdity of self ID and the required acceptance of that self ID as truth. He is doing it through action, not verbal activism. Part of his point is that one doesn't need to explain one's choices, no matter what they are.

* "Most were laughing about it and trying to get pictures*"

"Most"??? Really?

I don't know what his motives were. I'm glad he's stopped behaving like a giant tit (literally).

Whatever his motivation he's called huge attention to the ridiculous situation in Canada re gender and self identification.

Hey Canada WHAT IS A WOMAN?

We need a podcast investigation 😬😀

Beefcurtains79 · 11/09/2023 05:46

saffronsoup · 11/09/2023 04:09

I doubt any teens were permanently psychologically scarred by seeing a man in a wig and with large prosthetic boobs. Most were laughing about it and trying to get pictures.

How incredibly dismissive of you.

MixedTocopherols · 11/09/2023 04:15

He now self identifies as a man

How does he square this with his past claims that the boobs were real and he had gigantomastia?

I mean — of course nobody believed that. But apparently he claimed it, so is he now admitting it was a lie?

I just don’t get why any school would want him as a member of staff at this point.

He was pushing the envelope. Would people challenge him if he said they were real?

MixedTocopherols · 11/09/2023 04:15

saffronsoup · 11/09/2023 04:06

He now self identifies as a man, uses his male name, and is living as a man.

I find I'm so curious about what really went on here. Was he always taking the piss and he's been successful and is in a new job where things aren't so crazy stupid?

Or did they tell him he could remain employed but only if he gave up on the giant boobs etc?

Either way it could be a great made for tv movie.

PorcelinaV · 11/09/2023 01:28

I'm going for: driven temporarily mad by Canadian progressives.

Who knows what they would do if you had to live under that kind of regime?

If each person here gets a single vote I'd love to know how the majority here thinks please.
Is he trolling and abusing a stupid system to highlight how open to abuse it is ( vote yes ), or is he a genuine transexual ( vote no ).
I vote yes because the world makes more sense to me if that's the case.
You don't need to justify or defend your vote, just give a yes or no please.

He has also psychologically scarred those children from the original school - whatever he identifies as and for whatever reason he did it, he is despicable.

This.

And I think I understand what @RealityFan was trying to say - essentially this man is despicable for what he's done and other men should call it out (I think). He's not a good man.

Even if it was some kind of double bluff, he's harmed children by doing what he's done.

It does expose the batshittery of gender ideology in Canada to the extreme but at what cost to those poor kids. The adults involved in the school board decisions about this should be sued by the parents IMO. It's just so far beyond what should be acceptable and so very obviously against the best interests of the children, I find it difficult to believe it could be legal. I suppose that's Canada for you.

To each their own. He challenged the system and pushed it pretty far. He made his point.

If that was his aim; he's made fucking idiots of a hell of a lot of people.
But I'm not convinced.

RealityFan · 10/09/2023 21:12

I was obviously too clever for my own good. Yes he's a man. But he's a bad example of a man.

Saying he is a letdown to men is different from your first post where you said he wasn't a man.

IcakethereforeIam · 10/09/2023 21:10

I can't watch at the moment. Is he still using the same name?

RealityFan · 10/09/2023 20:39

David Beckham could turn up in a sari to teach, I'd have no issues. I have an issue with a man psychologically bullying other women and children in the way he did. I'm perfectly within my rights to say he's a letdown to men. Humans in general, if that sounds better.
