Vogue magazine has published a piece by Emily Bridges:

I Was Banned From Competitive Cycling Because I’m Trans. That Won’t Stop Me Fighting For My Rights.

Full of the usual hogwash and inaccuracies, and the discredited CCES report is doing some heavy lifting.

And apparently they will be trying to take British Cycling to court. We shall see.

I Was Banned From Competitive Cycling Because I’m Trans. That Won’t Stop Me Fighting For My Rights

Cyclist Emily Bridges has been competitively racing since she was 10 years old, but now, due to new policies introduced by British Cycling, she’s been banned from competing in the women’s category.

Emily can still race of course, in the open class in BC-affiliated races. They might not be able to retain Elite cat in open races but based on previous performance I’m sure they could get cat 1 and do very well in U23s. I just checked their ranking on the BC site and they are currently unranked (which effectively means they have dropped down to cat 3) but I’m sure could get back up there if they wanted.

And of course there are lots of unaffiliated races (especially in gravel and fixed gear racing) that seem happy to let males into the women’s races. Particularly in the US.

Infuriating, isn’t it?

I suppose the more truthful headline of I Was Banned From Women’s Competitive Cycling Because I’m Male just isn’t edgy enough.

You’re not banned from anything, you numpty. You can cycle to your heart’s content, as well you know, Emily Bridges.

Yes, they did.

It was captured a while ago. As I remember it celebrated the centenary of women's suffrage with a photocall that included Paris Lees.
