Entitled male refused access to female changing area (despite wearing skirt)

I’m not saying he should be in women’s spaces @BernardBlacksMolluscs just that him being trans and seeking it doesn’t necessarily indicate a fetish and that he could genuinely believe he’s a woman just like us in the wrong body.

@StefanosHill i suppose I haven’t thought of it from a child’s perspective. Personally if I numbed into a non threatening male in women’s clothes in the bathroom I don’t think it would affect me very much. But when I was a little girl yes probably it would scare me

If you don’t have dds, what about when you were younger, if you are female

If you are male I can see why you’d be neutral. That’s the problem for women, men don’t get it.

And yet still here you are trying to police other peoples emotions on it when they have been thinking deeply on the subject.

Adult men going into changing rooms with teenage girls, or any other women for that matter, is so obviously dodgy. Apart from sex pests, and utterly naive people, who actually thinks this is a good idea?

Children's sport will die if this continues - middle aged women and men keep it going through fees and volunteer time.

The only reason this is happening is because parents don't know. I do wonder if the clubs were informed. Possibly not. At my dds old swim club the safeguarding team were great. They'd be raging if they'd been duped into this massive a safeguarding breach.

Why wasn’t that your first comment? Why were you more concerned about people implying this man is a fetishist, than about the teenage girls who are being forced to let him watch them undress?

I’m pretty neutral about all this. Admittedly I don’t have a daughter and maybe would have stronger opinions on it if I did. I know that’s why my sister is so unsettled. I find it interesting though how this all just came up. It feels like the government already wanted to erase gender roles

As a swim parent I’m not giving the benefit of the doubt. It’s totally inappropriate and a safeguarding failure for this man to be in female changing rooms with teenage girls.

And that may well be the case but I still want these mean who claim to be women because of some feeling in their head to stop using women single sex spaces whilst they deal with their health issues!

It is sinister when girls are being forced to get naked in front of adult males. Without consent. It's sexual assault.

Every girl there is being made to accept a man watching them change. It is being drummed into them that when a man says they are a woman they have to accept they are.

How far are we actually going to take this as a society? Will we get rid of courts and judges, because if somebody says they didn't do what they are accused of, we have to just accept their innocence? Will squatting become a thing of the past, because if somebody says they are the owner of your house, we just have to accept that they are? Anybody can buy alcohol, as long as they say they are over 18? Making people take driving tests is offensive bigotry, because if they say they can drive competently, how very dare anybody gainsay them?

Those in power - and others who blithely accept this 'fiction is truth' narrative really need to stop for a moment and think about the principles they are wading in and signing us all up for. There will be no such thing as a lie anymore: we will merely have 'truth' and 'equally-valid truth'.
