Not sure this is the ‘win’ India thinks it is

India was delighted on Twitter that the hospital band India was wearing said ‘female’.

I hope for India’s sake that India’s doctors understand biology and should India need a transfusion of blood that India does not receive blood from a female who has previously been pregnant.

That’s one of India’s favourite photos that gets trotted out regularly

Oh...so this isn't recent, ie the past week?

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 17/07/2023 23:45

I never thought I would say this, but I am beginning to feel a bit sorry for India. Anyone who wants something which they can never have so desperately , and seizes on any tiny tiny affirmation, however forced, is a bit pitiable.

This does not mean I condone India in female wards, changing rooms , loos or any other female space, though.

I know loads of doctors, I'm an HCP and I don't know a single one that would snigger about - what - a transwoman being in hospital, saying they're female? Are we in Carry On?

They're either aggressively TWAW or stressed GC trying to square the circle of retaining a foot in reality while respecting this sort of stuff. It's not fucking funny.

mrshoho · 17/07/2023 23:35

If India heaven forbid should develop prostate issues in the future what will India do? Would India acknowledge her male body and seek the appropriate treatment or would India continue with the delusional thinking that India is more female than biologically born females?

SabrinaThwaite · 17/07/2023 23:19

That’s one of India’s favourite photos that gets trotted out regularly, along with a photo of their passport, in an effort to show that a legal fiction has some kind of magic wand effect when it comes to biology.

The old adage about chess and pigeons comes to mind.

PorcelinaV · 17/07/2023 23:18

"There is a difference between biology and gender identity"...

"So we need to say that someone is the opposite biological sex to what they really are"

I k on my vaguely know who India is, and I don't know who martina is....but I'm guessing a biological female?

And this India character says they are "more of a woman than martina"?

"There will be no fucking sniggering - about what? I hate that people genuinely think health care professionals behave like that."

Oh dear.

There must be a lot of talking going on behind your back.

Seriously? You don't think most of us know doctors in real life?

Pixiedust1234 · 17/07/2023 22:30

Nvm, cross posted 😂

Yep,

Just to be clear then: India says female women are transgender.
Is there anyone who isn't trans?
I'm as trans as India is, by India's logic.

More female than Martina? My mathematical powers aren’t what they were, but given that India is 0% female and Martina 100%, I badly struggle with that conclusion.

Me too!

However, wasn’t this part of a set of tweets, with one where Willoughby declared themselves more female than Martina?

”My body chemistry is more female than Martina’s.”

Well, reality is gonna be hard to cope with.

Actually I'm starting to wonder if they are on a mixed ward or not. Not that I'm asking because I'm sure MN would delete anyone who posted it. But yeah...have they boasted of that yet, or just the wristband?

ZuttZeVootEeeVo · 17/07/2023 21:46

In my trust the gender field on the record seems, thank goodness, to be kept to sex.

It won't be.

India needs to be reminded of the quote “Calling a dog’s tail a leg, doesn’t make it a leg.”

India is a male with a wrist band with female written on it.
