It's basically some waffle around historic labour homophobia building up to the real point which is trying to get Rosie Duffield in trouble for saying men can't be mothers.

And at best we think they cannot call themselves mothers and expect all to agree.

It's odd that he also picks out Lisa Nandy saying that “social conservatism” has “never been more important” when that interview was in 2019 and more to do with racial issues with no mention of trans rights.
The video below is from Julia Long calling out Lisa Nandy on sex self ID in 2020. Nandy has been one of the staunchest supporters of the wholeTRAagenda. Is it just a bit easier for Owen to attack and to discredit women, is that why he picked her?

I would love to believe that they had moved on from 100% support for 'Trans rights' but I think that it's too ingrained in the Party now.

Bootle matron here who has written to Dowd over his vote, no response as yet but I'm not holding my breath. There's been quite a bit of unrest about him at the school gates but the MP of the UK's safest seat won't care.

How someone is ageing, as we all do, really isn't relevant to this particular discussion.

It's what OJ said about RD and his crass attitude to women, that's of concern to me.

This wasn't as bad as I anticipated actually. He's still a stupid, wrong, duplicitous prick, but I think he's had to tone down his rhetoric. Didn't overtly accuse anyone of phobia or bigotry. It was implied of course, but I really think there has been a shift and even the guardian won't let him spew as much misogyny.

Rosie simply said what the vast majority of the population know to be true: men can't be mothers. She put it very nicely and gently - which is more than the male in question deserved. Owen is so out of touch with the general public that he imagines the Guardian readership will be as outraged as he is. He couldn't be more wrong.

Owen is sad. After a couple of months ago telling GC women to eat shit as the Arrow Of History was inexorably radical trans, he's now saying the likely next government, effectively his side, is throwing TQ+ out of the car.

He's never cheered me up so much. AND to be so triggered by Rosie...happy birthday, Rosie, this is your present to us, lol.
