Yes, I should say that nothing on earth will persuade me to routinely browse the Mail’s headlines in the way that I do on bbc news (god help me). The place they’re coming from is just too far from my POV, it’s like trying to eat a sandwich with sand in

that’s not going to stop me reading Mail articles, particularly if they’re the only ones providing coverage of a certain item I want to know about (as routinely happened until recently)

@Wishitsnows that's it, they have a huge online & social media presence. Also their articles are very easy to share on WhatsApp etc.. They are spreading the word & reaching all for corners..

Many years ago I was told it aims to be a paper for women and it certainly living up to that .

I was told this too! 25 years ago by an economics professor interviewing me for a uni place. He asked me what newspapers I read. I was 17, I didn’t read any newspapers but didn’t want to admit that. My nan read DM so I said that. He said “that’s just a woman’s paper, I mean what proper newspapers do you read?” 😵

The daily mail have been very good at reporting and highlighting the trans issue and the impact on women. You can see from the comments under the articles that people weren’t aware of some of the insanity. They have a huge world readership so the reporting is reaching millions worldwide.

I do think there is a misogynistic slant to the dm pushing this. I'm not convinced they care about women but whatever the reason they do allow articles and for that I'm thankful

I've appreciated the Daily Mail ever since they named the murderers of Stephen Lawrence and campaigned for them to be brought to trial.
It's a campaigning newspaper. I don't agree with most of the positions it takes . However, on the issue of the effects of trans activism on women and children, it's been outstanding.
