I wonder if this person will be subjected to the same treatment as Caroline Farrow?

Let's wait and see!

Ignoring the derail attempt.

The repeated online death threats against women from that convicted (but not imprisoned) violent offender must surely breach the law. It will be interesting to see how any police action (if there is any) against that individual, or to protect the women being threatened, compares to the police handling of other cases discussed on here.

Stick to core of your beliefs and focus on what matters (women only spaces / women only sports / legally what makes a woman).

So when someone sends violent threats to GC campaigners, we should stay silent?

You might've had a point with Sam Smith and all that, but this was the wrong thread to make that argument, because you've just become an apologist for violence.

Or you could support people in their opinions and actual debate what is going on.

There are horrible people in every section of society. There are awful trans women, there are awful people on mumsnet, there are awful gender critical people.
Stop using the extremes of human behaviour as an excuse to bully trans people as a group (I see it here all the time).
Stick to core of your beliefs and focus on what matters (women only spaces / women only sports / legally what makes a woman).
Please can everyone here STOP with the stuff that you just personally find offensive as you're losing the argument when people body shame Sam Smith, or have a problem with drag (no, it is NOT the same as blackface, stop pretending it is), having a problem with pride. The amount of positives that come from pride far, far outweigh the negatives (especially for young people trying to find acceptance).
Being 'offended' by something - just because it makes you uncomfortable (such as someone's lifestyle or how they look) isn't important.
Protecting women's female only spaces is important.
Focus mumsnet, focus! You're losing the room.
(And for those so say things like 'the tide is turning' --- no it's not, only for the far right and daily mail readers. It's not exactly winning the argument is it).

Those posts are beyond horrendous. Surely breaking a law?

DerekFaker · 08/06/2023 09:20

He's clearly a very disturbed, violent man who isn't going to change without some kind of intervention.

And surely there should be some consequence for judges who do this? Justice is only for some, seemingly.

dimorphism · 08/06/2023 09:18

What the actual fuck? So 'trans' really is a get out of jail free card.

Roll up, roll up you criminals, here's an easy way to avoid jail. Next they'll just self ID as innocent.

I feel very sorry for the victim of this person's crime, they just won't feel safe after that farce of justice.

dimorphism · 08/06/2023 09:17

They've even handily indicated where they live so the Sussex police should be on it, I hope.... (waits for tumbleweed to blow past....)
