I firmly believe that GCs and TRAs have more interests in common than either do with Matt Walsh
I think this is the first thing you've said that I wholeheartedly agree with.
I genuinely think most TRAs (not all) are motivated by a desire to make things better by challenging sexist roles attached to physical sex. They've just got a bit sidetracked into thinking the sexist roles are somehow innate in people's minds so the solution is to open them up to either sex rather than just get rid of them (a sidetrack that is having, let's not minimise here, pretty catastrophic results for women's social and political progress and for the poor individuals who are being influenced to physically alter their bodies).
The problem is that until the TRAs will let us talk to them, or indeed let us talk to anyone vaguely left leaning without them jumping in to warn everyone not to listen to us, and actually listen to us openmindedly and hear what we are really saying (which we know they are not doing today because of how utterly wrong they are whenever they try to describe what the GC position is), we are blocked from recognising that middle ground and finding meaningful compromises. Or even better, a new third way combining the best insights of both parties.
So if you truly believe that GCs and TRAs have more interests in common than either do with Matt Walsh, you need to stand up for GCs and help us get our voices heard. Because until that happens, until there is a space on the left for people who don't think replacing sexism with genderism is progressive, the so-called left are forcing moderate people to chose between condoning the worst excesses of genderism (the betrayal of women, the medicalisation of totally natural gender non-conformism) or joining with the right.
