Where were Barclays Bank when I was growing up under Section 28?
Investing in an apartheid South Africa.
Great post by the way, VitoCorleoneOfMNMafia.
I am content to leave people to their views as long as they don't interfere with the rights of others, especially the most vulnerable: TRAs alt-right etc. I am happy to test my own views by identifying where I disagree with theirs.
I loathe rainbow washing and virtue signalling. Choosing a florist last week I dismissed the one that said "LGBT friendly", and was pleased to discover the alternative was owned by gay man. I hated it when Barclays added a rainbow to their app. The rainbow has started to represent misogyny.
All good then when another group with different views from my own, noisily boycott a virtue signally business. My silent protest against M&S, John Lewis, Wagamama etc is slow to impact. Innocent is now added to my list. No Budweiser at Five Guys, though I suspect the alternative comes from the same brewery. A noisy protest to remind businesses that their role is to sell to customers rather than preach to them is fine by me.
