Guardian states absolute untruth on medical treatment

In an article on Mississippi the Guardian included these paragraphs:

"Mississippi is among the US states that have pursued a barrage of restrictions pertaining to transgender youth medical care, sports participation and bathroom use. Earlier this year, the state’s conservative governor, Tate Reeves, signed into law a legislative bill which prohibits health professionals from providing both hormone treatments and surgical procedures to transgender minors.

Such gender-affirming care is medically necessary and potentially lifesaving for children and adults diagnosed with gender dysphoria."

That statement is categorically untrue and represents deliberate misinfomation. No gender affirming care is "medically necessary" for anyone, let alone children; and has no connection to "saving lives".

If this care saves lives, where are all the deaths in my generation and older, where thjs made up medicine isnt available? Where are the thousands of women who really wanted to be men and were denied the opportunity? Have the suicide stats for this age group gone down or up?

What a weird thing to put into an article about insisting that a male student must wear trousers.

The issue was surely whether a student should be allowed a choice of traditionally male or female clothing (provided that clothing is suitable for the occasion and covers the necessities, so to speak).

It doesn’t need a paragraph about the dubiously life saving nature of hormone therapy because that’s not what was preventing the student graduating.
