Sorry for usurping your role as a parent Noel

Apparently “angry white middle aged women” are making life difficult for young men because we are telling them how to behave, reining in their natural instincts, stopping them from doing exactly what they want and preaching woke attitudes. According to Gallagher , yes, that Noel, young men should be allowed to express themselves and be their real selves without having to worry about little things like woke social norms, I have the feeling he means feminism and having respect for women . He is worried about how this will affect his boyz and will undermine the parenting values he has managed to instil by his own life time example of sustained male arrogance.

Leaves me wondering if it’s OK if angry white middle aged men tell kids off.

Heard this kind of thing before. Nasty feminists keeping men from being their true selves and turning them into weak little sops. Meanwhile on my walk to work I encounter young men acting like arseholes almost without fail.

Interesting that he’s recently separated from his wife. I expect it was all her fault for not letting him do what he wants.

I this the DM ripped this off the Big Issue, I just read this exact article there yesterday. If you're hoping for additional Noel nuance you will be disappointed. But there is a rather lovely article elsewhere in the issue about Jim Moir, Nancy Sorrell and Chris Packham painting at an RSPB reserve.

When I was a young hen I had friends in bands who knew noel really well.
Everyone who thought noel was a top bloke has been proven repeatedly to be an absolute twat.
He really is quite the unpleasant sounding older man.

Oh bore off Noel. I remember men saying exactly the same thing (without use of the woke word obviously) in the early nineties when he was at his height, probably before, and ever since. Whinging that they don’t know how to behave any more the poor things.
