Haldane judgement appeal

Sorry if there's already a thread that I missed, but I haven't seen one. FWS are appealing the Haldane judgement (the one that put "legal sex" where we'd really expect and want "sex"). I just donated: you might want to too. Can't post the link here but if you Google crowdjustice equality act sex biological you'll find it.

What Autumn Crow said above plus the £40K was a guesstimate of the legal fees.

They expect the case may cost more so every little helps as they say!

The original £40k is the victory and has been achieved. Those pledges are being taken from the pledgers' credit cards, debit cards, paypal accounts etc.

All good.

I think once Fionne donated the £8k, the impetus slowed down under the huge sigh of relief tbh. But the sheer number of individual donors is incredible.

This very important. Look what is happening to Baroness Faulkner at the EHRC for daring to say the Equality Act for the protected characteristic “Sex” needs greater clarity so it does not get confused and conflated with the characteristic “Gender Reassignment”.

It's so gutting that every single woman who speaks up for women is bullied and harassed. Baroness Falkner has been so bloody reasonable too.

They're into the stretch amount now, but they are working on estimated costs for the legal stuff so whatever they can raise before it finishes will go into the legal pot.
