@Helleofabore

Ok thanks.

I do t understand what you are saying here sorry?

Are you saying trans rights activists welcomed the nazi salute to make KJK look bad?

sinner is pointing out the ridiculous notion that has been used to harm feminists, particularly Kellie Jay and Moira Deeming. And pointing out that this is relevant for this person being within the TRA group. That TRAs who have used the ridiculous lie, are having it reflected back at them.

SinnerBoy · 29/05/2023 15:59

Well, quite. And as the TEZs didn't tell the Nazis officially not to go, they as good as invited them.

I mean, sauce for the goose, right?

Its on C4 at 10pm this coming Tuesday 30th May.

I'd forgotten the earlier programme but this is obviously being marketed by C4 as shock jock tv - along with Depp vs Heard. https://www.channel4.com/press/news/channel-4-announces-trailblazing-slate-provocative-new-shows-its-2023-content-showcase

Interestingly it looks like some trans advocates who took part thought they had been duped - https://www.reddit.com/r/transgenderUK/comments/13tj30i/channel_4_deceives_trans_and_nonbinary/

Just realised isn't tuesday the day KS is meant to be giving a speach in Oxford? Spooky conincident or C4 going all out to attract attention.

This was posted earlier.

"In Melbourne this March, an anti-trans rally organised by British “gender critical” campaigner Kellie Jay-Keen staged a mass Nazi salute."

That's so dishonest. It implies something officially organised.

That is straight-out libel. I hope KJK sues.

BettyFilous · 29/05/2023 19:25

What time is this due to air?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 29/05/2023 16:01

Incredibly dishonest. A hallmark of this movement, as we all know.

MargotBamborough · 29/05/2023 15:57

I think the most pertinent point is that the Nazis, whether or not they actually had anything to do with Kellie-Jay Keen, were not the worst behaved people there.

The trans activists were.

SinnerBoy · 29/05/2023 15:54

And the Nazis were nothing to with KJK, she told them that they weren't welcome.

You might claim that the Trans Extremist side had the Nazis along for them.

Rejoice ladies! A man has arrived on the above news link to explain to us that women’s concern about losing their rights is now old hat and 5 years out of fashion. I’m sure this will be a relief to us all - back to the kitchen! The real story is only about the right wing cashing in on gender wars apparently (clue : don’t give them an open goal then).

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/05/2023 14:22

I think the TL;DR reading is "all those silly gender-critical feminists have poked the conservative right and now women's rights are suffering - really, don't they understand that trans/women are on the same side?"

Some interesting hypotheses (I'd like to hear more about how US conservative orgs are harnessing "anti-trans" donations to stop abortion rights because this is perfectly plausible and something I have been concerned about) but the piece is all assertation and conjecture with no evidence.

I love the bit about the Israel/Palestine conflict :)

NancyDrawed · 29/05/2023 12:52

It's so ridiculous, isn't it? And I agree, he's a great storyteller which makes it an enjoyable listen

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/05/2023 12:49

Thank you, Nancy. I've got to the bit where Olly tells the story of Susie Green refusing to take part because she thought the film would be one-sided and he explained it would be if she refused to take part. He tells a good story - really entertaining.

Re the Stella o malley documentary, she made a follow up documentary with the producer on the making of trans kids.

Anyone got a link?

Not the documentary, sorry, but here's the producer Olly Lambert talking about how difficult it was to try to get pro transition people onto the documentary. I seem to remember seeing this on Youtube as well, I'll see if I can find that

I can’t see the tweet about Stock’s earlier life…from the previous posters’ comments, is Whittle implying Stock is not a legitimate lesbian because at one point she was in a heterosexual relationship/marriage? Does this mean all the formerly married gay or TW don’t count/lack legitimacy or have I misunderstood it..? This seems quite a position to be advancing given the cohort Whittle purports to represent.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 29/05/2023 12:03

I’ve staggered through the whole blog post. Dr. Whittle points out with justifiable pride the many honours and accolades on the cv.

Dr. Whittle also trumpets the achievements of incarcerating trans- identified male criminals in the female prison estate, whilst claiming that ‘proper procedures’ were not followed in Karen Whites case. Dr Whittle doesn’t say how the ‘procedures’ were not followed, which is a shame as it would have been interesting.

‘After the Karen White fiasco when the rules were snot followed,’ ( actual copy and paste from the blog post) is all the reference.

oddly the post peters out in the middle of a sentence….

ArabeIIaScott · 29/05/2023 12:00

It seems Whittle is trying to suggest Stock's sexuality is some kind of whimsical dilettante afterthought.

Weird flex for someone who has spent their life trying to insist on the malleability of 'gender'. And styles themselves as an advocate for the LGBT community.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 29/05/2023 11:40

Stock was married at 25 and single at 39 and is now 51 so I don’t know how Whittle works out that she spent ‘most of her life’ as a married woman. Doesn’t seem to be awfully interested in facts….
