It took me a while to work out what he was getting at because I couldn’t bring myself to believe he is so ignorant as to not know the difference between queer theory and gay rights.

  2. I haven’t encountered anyone who hates trans people but on FWR I see plenty who do not believe humans can change sex. That isn’t hate, that’s embracing material reality.

People on Mumsnet don't hate trans people. They probably love some trans people on an individual level.

What they care about is preserving women's rights to single-sex provisions and services, especially in areas like prisons or healthcare where they may be vulnerable or traumatised. Hope that helps

I don't think anyone hates anyone.
You can't also 'like' a whole group in society. That would be a bit silly, wouldn't it? They are individuals. Some nice, some awful, just like any other group.

Many of us here just think that women should have their own spaces, sports, prisons, counselling services...

That's all.
