She is the swimmer who has spoken out about Lia Thomas (both about him exposing himself in the changing room and being forced to compete against him). Now she's been attacked at San Francisco state university

The mob violence is escalating

The rest seem to be the ones that were probably picked on by those children.

I think this is most likely. At high school they were probably the weird, kooky, gender non-conforming kids who got a load of abuse from the jocks. They’ve gone to university and found their tribe and realised they can have the power for a change, and that as a collaborative group they can stick it to those who used to stick it to them. Gaines probably represents that, being white, blonde, attractive, sporty, popular, well spoken, unswayed, secure, confident, Christian. They quickly saw their opportunity to make her the representative of all those who have wronged them in the past and take it out on her. The fact she is a woman emboldened them and enabled them to do so, because a man of similar standing wouldn’t have been so easy to intimidate. It’s much easier to throw out the word “bitch” compared to male-oriented slurs.

I would hope a good number of them would look back on their behaviour with profound shame.

Boiledbeetle · 10/04/2023 12:19

The Trans Rights Activists get more aggressive every time they get away with it. Every time they are patted on the head for their thuggish behaviour.

It's like watching the school yard bullies who are worshipped by their parent's and instead of punished treated to sweets as a reward.

I suspect some of them were those children. The rest seem to be the ones that were probably picked on by those children.

MarshaBradyo · 10/04/2023 11:09

Good I’m glad she’s suing

Sittwritt · 10/04/2023 11:08

Amazed st how brave she is, and totally the right course of action to take.

nilsmousehammer · 10/04/2023 10:19

And I'll add:

This is why it is so ridiculous when someone to try and shame and shush women from noticing and criticising, produces script number 23 and witters about 'well it's only x, why are you so silly as to let it take up head space when there's all those real things to worry about'

Do you want to live in a society where the law applies to some and not others?

Do you want to live in a society where a crime can be committed, and those in positions of responsibility look at the videoed evidence, look you straight in the eye and not only say 'that didn't happen' but tell you that they saw no crime and praise the perpetrator for their lovely behaviour?

Do you want to live in a society where, when the law no longer serves impartially and focuses on equal justice, and so vigilantism rises because people who cannot access the law have been stripped of the bargain that they do not seek justice themselves because they can trust the police and courts and authorities to do it fairly for them?

If you're insane enough to say yes to the above then you can only be doing so because you see yourself as part of and protected by the privileged group who shall be served above the lower castes, and you are ok with injustice so long as you are on the right side of it. Which means you are a twit, because that leaves you with nothing more than hope that as fashions shift, you remain on the side of the currently favoured.

nilsmousehammer · 10/04/2023 10:10

I will gladly contribute too.

There cannot be law and a police system that special groups or subjects are exempted from. There cannot be authorities acting on identified personal realities where they look you in the face and lie. There cannot be the ridiculous sight of a bunch of screaming yobs imprisoning people and police who are apparently not capable of dealing with it, and then some idiot thanking the yobs for what? Not actually killing anyone as they broke multiple laws?

This batshit is now way out of control. Trump on crack. It is being pushed to the point where the only solution is that it will have to go, along with the liberal left nutjobs in positions of power, police and other services.

Datun · 10/04/2023 09:47

Good. If there's a crowdfunder, I'm in.

And I hope she identifies the individual students. The vice principal should be sacked and prosecuted.

ResisterRex · 10/04/2023 09:31

She says she will take legal action:

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11954951/Riley-Gaines-SUE-college-praised-activists-peaceful-protest-claims-assault.html

EXCLUSIVE: Riley Gaines says she will SUE after San Fran State University praised trans-rights activists for a 'peaceful' protest where she claims she was assaulted and held for ransom - and asks: 'Does my freedom of speech not deserve to be protected?'
"Gaines, speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, argued the event was 'quite literally the exact opposite of peaceful' and she plans to take legal action to hold the school, the students and campus police - who she described woefully unprepared - accountable.

'I think that what you have to do to make changes in regards to protecting freedoms is to go where it hurts which is the pockets,' she said. 'If I weren't to do something, there would be no repercussions for these people.'
'Something needs to be done to hold these people accountable, whether it be the student body, the administration...they need to realize is that what happened to me was violent, was completely wrong and it was criminal,' Gaines alleges. 'They weren't even peaceful in an alternate universe.'

Gaines told DailyMail.com accused her alleged assailant - who she says was a transgender woman and her boyfriend said was 'a guy in a dress' - of hitting her first in the shoulder and then in the face before an undercover campus cop came to her rescue.

The swimmer claimed she was barricaded in a room at San Francisco State University for three hours to protect herself from the 'vengeful' mob who were demanding they be let in to 'fight' her. San Francisco police said there were no arrests.
Gaines also alleged that the protesters 'demanded money' in exchange for her freedom, which she sees as being held for ransom, a federal offense.
She said that she's dealt with campus police all over the country at speaking engagements and that they are usually prepared but said that she started to sense something was wrong at San Francisco State when, she claims, police skipped out on a meeting 90 minutes prior to her speech.
Gaines believes that a fear of being accused by the woke mob of having done something untoward to one of the students is what led to her situation.

'What I noticed about these police to what they actually admitted to was they didn't feel comfortable asserting themselves in a way that would make them seem as if they were in a position where they could be accused of racism or transphobia,' she claimed.

'They were terrified which resulted in them not doing their job correctly,' she alleges. 'I have been to many other campuses where I have spoken about this same topic and campus police did a phenomenal job.'
'They could have found me and talked to me,' she said. 'They never said anything.'

The only excuse she says she has been given as to why there was no plan in place is that they thought 'someone else had communicated it on our behalf.'
Gaines says that San Francisco State University police have reached out to her to set up a meeting in an attempt to clarify what happened, but she says no one else from San Francisco State, aside from a friend who attends the school, has contacted her.
'These people and the administration and the campus police, truthfully, deserve to have repercussions.'"

'It took tremendous bravery to stand in a challenging space'

Bloody hell. Utterly Orwellian.

pottydimley · 09/04/2023 21:34

They're not activists, they're terrorists. And terrorists that a number of governments are frightened to tackle.

Rightsraptor · 09/04/2023 20:58

Andrew Doyle on Free Speech Nation (GB News) just called those thugs attacking Riley Gaines 'anti-free speech activists'. Spot on.

Datun · 09/04/2023 20:40

Jeez. There must be legal recourse, surely.

She was forced into a locked room for THREE hours.

Mammillaria · 09/04/2023 18:30

Wow, that letter.

It's giving 'Dolores Umbridge does gender politics'

Thank you to our students who participated peacefully in Thursday evening’s event. It took tremendous bravery to stand in a challenging space. I am proud of the moments where we listened and asked insightful questions. I am also proud of the moments when our students demonstrated the value of free speech and the right to protest peacefully. These issues do not go away, and these values are very much at our core.

If this is referring to what happened to Riley, then they are LIARS and everyone should know this. They are not worthy of being called a university. The protesters were aggressive, not peaceful. The core value on display in this letter is dishonesty.

From that letter, about their fluffy lovely students:
'It took tremendous bravery to stand in a challenging space'
No peeps, that was Riley. Not the hyena pack who can't cope with disagreement and having to defend their ideology.

JacquelinePot · 07/04/2023 07:50

How do we even begin to try deprogramming all these oung people who have been through a school and university system where they've been indoctrinated into believing lies, like TWAW...? This is getting really dangerous, now.

I hope Riley is OK. And I hope the zealots understand that they are proving Riley's point for her.

You build a time machine and go back to before you thought intersectionality was a great idea.
Without it we would only be arguing against less than 1% of the population and not a cult that incorporates the majority of those attending university now or in the last 10yrs. Our real hope lies with working class blue collar voters. Go to any working class pub and ask them if a woman has a penis and they will put you straight

We've seen it in our politicians in the past decade.

Cummings, in a rose garden, trying the 'should have gone to spec savers' ultimate bullshit. Johnson, a master of it. The sociopathic/disordered personality behaviour of looking you straight in the eye and saying 'I didn't do it' when the evidence is on the floor in front of you.

As Cummings and Johnson discovered, the response of the person in the street with a grip on reality is 'you are mad' and to walk away, not 'ok then'.

"A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him, saying, 'You are mad; you are not like us."

Yep, there is a sense of radicalisation that takes place with vulnerable people being drawn into activism.

That's not quite how radicalisation works.

Think of it as a set of concentric circles. In the outer ring are sympathisers. The next ring is in the supporters. Next in is the suppliers. The final, inner ring is the people who take action.

It's not a conveyor belt.

'Protested peacefully' - managed to hit Gaines twice, screamed like a pack of hyenas for her to be handed over, imprisoned her and a bunch of police, and tried to extort money.

Absolute nonsensical bullshit, anyone who's watched 2 seconds of the videos can see the lies. This whole ideology is based in absolute fantasy and an inability to cope with facts or evidence.

MarshaBradyo · 09/04/2023 12:22

The media though were a major part of Johnson’s downfall and ultimately the process has dealt with it through the committee

Cummings is a disaster and luckily no longer part of WM

So we don’t have blanket acceptance of it.

When male violence, the media, politicians and institutions wash over it where do women go?

If we got wards Canada or NZ and laws change we’re in big trouble

It is extremely concerning the washing over of violence from the left / gender ideology and TRAs

First in NZ now this

This feels like a struggle for reality right now - biological and the ability to stand up against assault

The media, politicians and institutions are happy to see women physically attacked and then post rainbows

How troubling

Not to derail but Sitt, it's not just men, though. It looked and sounded to me like the loudest were women

No surprise. Some of the loudest voices against female suffrage were women.

Florissant · 09/04/2023 10:57

That letter is appalling.
