"There were seven women convicted of sex crimes today". Is this a fact-free zone? Surely he's just making this up, without being challenged?

I think he is referring to the women who were part of a grooming gang. Actually there were eight, but we can’t expect factual accuracy, even in a ‘righteous cause’.

Flowerly · 06/04/2023 09:25

Frida ably demonstrating why women do not want to have to share our single sex spaces with massive, aggressive men.

I heard that, it's not true or if there are 7 "women" who were convicted if sex crimes today, we all know which type of "women" they were.

RubyTrees · 06/04/2023 09:23

Women are 51% of the UK population but apparently not a single one could be found for this interview.

ZuttZeVootEeeVo · 06/04/2023 09:23

If I'd been partly responsible for half the country losing their rights, I'd think I'd have the grace not to go onto TV and say how shocking it was that half the country had lost their rights.

This.

NecessaryScene · 06/04/2023 09:20

Debbie wrote

We're heading into "making stuff up about people" area here, or at least distortion, I think, unless there's something I've missed.

The impression I've always got about that document was that it was like many other Stonewall/GIDS-templated "trans-inclusive" documents produced around the same era, and Hayton's name appeared on it as having provided input - presumably as one of the few (only?) "trans" people in within NASUWT itself at the time. (Predating the current surge of everyone and their dog being "trans" or "NB").

Is there anything to suggest otherwise? The generous interpretation here could be "Stonewalled organisation published Stonewall advice - Hayton failed to totally block it, and won't publicly disown that specific document". Maybe it would have been even worse without his input?

(I've not studied it - is it notably better or worse than any other org's?)

ValancyRedfern · 06/04/2023 09:10

Debbie wrote the NASUWT trans guidance which states boys and men should be allowed in women's and girls' spaces. Debbie has been asked repeatedly on this forum and others if he now disagrees with the guidance he wrote. He never responds.

I know she's not a woman and so does she

And yes rejection of stereotypes is grand but it's also not where the eWorld is at

If you are to "live as a women "you should live as women live now with all their hang ups and insecurities - it should be in your behaviour not in your choice of clothes and falsies

To be honest it was a comment for the people on the video in case they were watching

People frequently state that they are happy for people to live as they like, dress how they like as long as they don't mistake gender for sex

Debbie may not be perfect but I think she goes a long way to representing this yet people still want to bash her ?

A man can't live as a woman. "Woman" is no more a behaviour than it is a costume. A woman is a person with a female body who behaves in any way.

HipTightOnions · 06/04/2023 09:00

I always wonder whether Debbie's pupils are expected to call him Sir or Miss.

But then Debbie should state that the school guidance is wrong and needs removing. I don't think this has happened.

Debbie has been asked directly on here to state this. He has always refused.

piedbeauty · 06/04/2023 08:57

I thought that Debbie Hayton was clear that you can't change sex and that TW are men??

Has Debbie changed their mind recently on this?

AlisonDonut · 06/04/2023 08:54

People have lost their jobs because of him.

Girls have been raped and assaulted because of him.

Are you fucking kidding me?

Yes I'll fucking bash him.

I cannot believe people laud this man. What the fuck are you thinking?

@AlisonDonut It might be that he changed his mind on that. That being the case its probably a good thing and Ive changed my mind on lots. Even if he is a complete hypocrite though its still interesting watching other transwomen trying to argue with them about why he is wrong/less of a woman than they are. Because all they have is "I'm a woman because I use female spaces"; "I'm a woman because other people have been blackmailed to say I am a woman") etc etc.

If I'd been partly responsible for half the country losing their rights, I'd think I'd have the grace not to go onto TV and say how shocking it was that half the country had lost their rights.

Or if I had to go onto TV to say this I'd have the grace to fucking APOLOGISE.

Debbie is more the woman - not putting herself first at every opportunity

Debbie is not a woman at all. I thought GC feminists were meant to reject stereotypes of how women should act?

Debbie may have conducted themselves better during this interview but Debbie is not more than woman, Debbie is not any type of woman.

He got paid to remove the rights of girls in school to their single sex spaces and now, gets paid to say how shocking it is and that women and girls needs single sex spaces.

Fuck me, is there some sort of collective forgetting of what Debbie Hayton did?

He started much of this.

EmpressaurusOfCats · 06/04/2023 08:27

AlisonDonut · 06/04/2023 07:24

Didn't Debbie help write school guidance that let boys in girls spaces?

Yes. And every so often Debbie posts on social about why Debbie should still be allowed in those spaces really even if others aren’t.

Random how much time Frida spent bitching about Kellie J Keen for no reason 🙄Rent Free.

It made me laugh when they said that KJK was too scared to come on the show. KJK would have wiped the floor with them.

That Freda person was deeply unpleasant.
