escalating violence

Just that. Does anyone else think the increasingly violent scenes (such as recently witnessed in NZ) shows that the Koolaid gang realise the gig is up and are lashing out in fury and frustration?

The "political lady" you refer to is Aboriginal woman Lidia Thorpe. If the protest also includes women then what does that suggest to you?

Do you want all women to speak? Or only the ones who agree with you?

FourTeaFallOut · 01/04/2023 23:28

Yes, the TRAs are increasingly violent and unhinged. Their entire movement is a discursive event and it requires that faithful followers chant the words mindlessly.

Intimidating women into silence is the only move they have left because all it takes to unravel their ideology is to speak clearly and plainly.

I feel so sorry for the rainbow people. If only this horrible society didn't ban them from mobile phone ownership then they could share films of all the physical violence women have committed against them at events.

Yep

but its ok we’ve got merlin talking rubbish about it so it’s nearly as good as actual evidence

RufustheSpeculatingreindeer · 01/04/2023 23:19

On other threads merlin has included that political lady who ended up crawling after being taken out by the police as an example of KJKs supporters violence and someone being knocked down by a motorcycle

as far as i can see KJKs supporters were just trying to get away from that mob…ideally in one peace

@MerlinsLostMarbles so why were the police protecting the Nazis and not the women? Why did antifa attack the women and not the Nazis? We’re the Nazis indeed Nazis? Are the police and antifa misogynistic twatsticks?

I'm not condoning any of the individual acts of violence (there were incidents on both sides just to add). However protesting in NZ is a legal right, and 2,000 protestors making noise is going to be very loud.

As I said in another thread the small number violent incidents which happened out of a crowd of 2,000+ would suggest the crowd was as a whole protesting peacefully.

I'm not familiar with antifa but I have seen a video where LGBT supporters were unhappy at the Nazis who were protected by the police forming a barrier protecting the Nazis.

Now, you know that you're talking shit. And I know that you're talking shit. And you know that I know that you're talking shit. But it doesn't stop you.

MerlinsLostMarbles · 01/04/2023 22:40

What were they talking about? Or intending to talk about?

Their experiences as women. That's what KJK does, provides à platform for women to speak.

I remain irritated by people rushing here to scold us while knowing literally nothing about the events.

Happylittlechicken · 01/04/2023 23:01

who did those women assault? I haven’t seen any stories of them attacking anyone but I’ve seen many stories of males attacking the women for daring to want to speak. Would you have defended anyone protesting a rally in favour of trans rights or would you have condemned those people, even though they were acting legally? Why is it ok to all assault people for speaking if they are female? The Nazis there were also speaking freely but they didn’t get attacked. Why was that?

Birdsweepsin · 01/04/2023 23:00

After all, what else do they have?

It all stems from having to defend a lie.

I could stand with people who argue thus: some men are transvestites. Some men are transexual. Some people like to challenge societal norms and present as something other than the two traditional sexes and their stereotypical presentation. We should cherish and celebrate diversity.

I cannot agree with: there are 74 genders; if you question the fact that men cannot turn into women you are a bigot, no-one is allowed an alternative point of view ever, rans women are women and I am so upset by women saying I am wrong that I wish they were dead.

were there indeed?

I love how people can try to justify violence against women with “they provoked it”. It’s like the domestic abusers manta. It’s funny though, there were actual Nazis at one event apparently, along with “antifa “ but the antifa didn’t seem remotely interested in attacking these actual Nazis…. Why would that be @MerlinsLostMarbles ? Any clues?

I’m not writing rambling nonsensical screeds about a supposed ‘Eugenics death cult’ that attempts to link abortion and euthanasia to gender identity, or predicting civil wars in the US and Canada.

I recommend you read the post that I replied to. You will arrive at the same conclusion that I did.

I guess I disagree with about 99% of what you post but I am 100% with you on this one.

raspberrywine · 01/04/2023 22:53

The violence has escalated because it's moved on from no debate and they are being confronted with their ideology and using the very thing that we say harms us, violence and intimidation. After all, what else do they have?

AND the violence is getting worse because of lack of policing, arrests and charges. They have been shown that they are untouchable.

Boiledbeetle · 01/04/2023 22:52

writing rambling nonsensical screeds that is

Happylittlechicken · 01/04/2023 22:51

Why @landOFconfusion ? I’ve read loads of your rambling posts and they’ve provided hours of entertainment. Can’t you give other posters the same courtesy. Who knows, you may learn something new 😉

Boiledbeetle · 01/04/2023 22:51

You usually are!

landOFconfusion · 01/04/2023 22:49

Birdsweepsin · 01/04/2023 22:44

Oh 👋Landofconfusion

Funny how the same posters turn up spoiling for a fight sometimes. And on a thread about escalating violence and all.

I reckon this thread will either be disappeared or Swiss-cheesed soon

No.
I think that’s wishful thinking.
I think they are emboldened by being allowed to get away with more and more.
It’s very nice to imagine them as just lashing out helplessly but I think from their perspective they are growing stronger.
I agree there have been some encouraging changes in the discourse but we have a long way to go before they start to feel defeated.

"Growing stronger"? If your response to reasoned argument is street thuggery whilst dressing as the provisional IRA it looks more like desperation.

Well would I be correct in guessing the dominant (or only) topic was transpeople

oooo a guessing game

ermmmmm i reckon if they’d been allowed to speak they would have talked about the best way to make an old fashioned

(desperately hoping someone come up with a good recipe)

MerlinsLostMarbles · 01/04/2023 22:40

What were they talking about? Or intending to talk about?

From the events I've seen, they were probably going to talk about women and our right to single sex spaces.

What did you think they were going to talk about?

RufustheSpeculatingreindeer · 01/04/2023 22:44

Happylittlechicken · 01/04/2023 22:41

We’ll never know will we @MerlinsLostMarbles , because some violent males decided to assault them. It’s almost like those males wanted to prove the point the women were trying to make.

Absolutely

it was a ‘let women speak’ event

they weren’t allowed to speak

so we’ll never know what they were going to speak about

thats kinda how ‘don’t let women speak’ works

From an event called "let women speak" all KJK wants to talk about is transpeople?

Have women's rights reached the stage where all we have to worry about are transpeople?
