escalating violence

Just that. Does anyone else think the increasingly violent scenes (such as recently witnessed in NZ) shows that the Koolaid gang realise the gig is up and are lashing out in fury and frustration?

Doesn’t NZ have the 3rd largest rate of DV in the world? And that includes countries like Afghanistan and Iran where women have hardly any rights? No wonder these males thought it was ok to beat up women, it seems to be the whole country’s attitude to women

On other threads merlin has included that political lady who ended up crawling after being taken out by the police as an example of KJKs supporters violence and someone being knocked down by a motorcycle

as far as i can see KJKs supporters were just trying to get away from that mob…ideally in one peace

Obviously Lidia Thorpe wasn't really attacked. Security and police were just doing their job.

The rhetoric is "punch TERFs". There is no equivalent rhetoric of "punch trans-activists" on the GC side.

We know which side talks about using violence. We know which side is "no debate". And we know which side is crossing the line to actually attack people.

The "political lady" you refer to is Aboriginal woman Lidia Thorpe. If the protest also includes women then what does that suggest to you?

Do you want all women to speak? Or only the ones who agree with you?

Lidia Thorpe didn't want the event to happen in the first place. She was on the side of censorship.

But quite possibly she would have been allowed to speak at the event had she wanted to. She didn't want to. She wanted to try to disrupt it instead.

You don't have a right to disrupt someone else's event. You also don't have a right to speak at someone else's event. That comes down to the decision of the event organisers. KJK can't just turn up and speak at trans activist events, so even if she did limit who could speak at her own event, it wouldn't be a big deal.

What does Lidia Thorpe talk about that gets suppressed anyway? Is anyone stopping her from speaking out on certain issues?

If you think that there should be an event where both sides on the trans-activism issue get to debate each other, I think that's a great idea, but I'm pretty sure the trans-activists often wouldn't want that. They are too cowardly or intellectually dishonest to want open debate.

forgotmyusername1 · 02/04/2023 06:48

I think it's interesting that even the lgb community is now going 'err, we don't want to be associated with this shit #lbgwithoutT

Waitwhat23 · 02/04/2023 06:13

It's sheer desperation. No-one is playing the game anymore. No debate no longer works, no platforming no longer works so they're reduced to increasing violence to shut women up. This period in history is going to be studied in the future as an example of safeguarding being thrown out the window to allow narcissism free reign.

MrsJamin · 02/04/2023 05:41

It's escalating violence because they are being confronted with adults calmly saying the truth, that TWAM - having a temper tantrum is all they have - they have no reasoned arguments, only feelings. Just a bunch of big toddlers with blue hair.

IMO I think Australia and NZ are more supportive of LGBT rights than the UK is. When an anti-trans event is planned, there will be greater resistance in Aus/NZ than there would be in the UK.

The NZ media and PM have spoken in support of the protestors and against KJK.

In my experience of actually living in Australia (not just random opinion) it’s a very macho anti- woman culture. There’s a reason that some remarkable feminists are from Australia.

OneMorePlant · 02/04/2023 04:32

I'm honestly getting tired of the same TRA all over this forum entering a thread with wild accusations and claims that they never can back up. All you are doing is proving us right. You have no arguments, facts are not on your side and you are completely disrespectful, misogynistic and intolerant.

Receipts or gtfo.

Well would I be correct in guessing the dominant (or only) topic was transpeople?

From an event called "let women speak" all KJK wants to talk about is transpeople?

Have women's rights reached the stage where all we have to worry about are transpeople?

It's not about trans people imho.
It's about trans activists and the ever more aggressive notion that biological sex is completely irrelevant despite the fact you cannot change your entire skeletal structure no matter how much outward surgery you have.

I get where you're trying to come from to an extent, but words are not literal physical violence - and those of us who have concerns about private spaces such as changing rooms, sports, etc, should be allowed to voice our concerns without being silenced, called a hateful bigot for talking about our lived experiences.

Everyone gets a "lived experience" except for women with gender critical views it seems :s

I've been punched by a man, I've seen domestic abuse from men, I've seen drunk women fighting vs drunk men fighting, we've seen time and time again professional women's sports teams taking on teenage boys, and losing.

And we can't talk about that because it might hurt someone's feeling's?
Surely it erases trans people to suggest there are no differences between the sexes, because if that's the case why bother transitioning to begin with?
There's no difference, right?

DemiColon · 02/04/2023 01:00

I'm not sure it's that simple.

I do think that the situation in places like NZ and Canada is really different. Gender ideology and id politics are winning, and there is very little public resistance - many people who disagree are still much too scared to do so publicly and all institutions are captured, 99.9% of the media are captured.

Most people will not even know what this guy is talking about. They still think that being trans in a kind of intersex condition in the brain.

Mollyollydolly · 02/04/2023 00:10

Yes. I sincerely believe a lot of these people are radicalised and should be on some kind of 'Prevent' programme. Instead they're treated as 'special' by politicians and the police. It really worries me, they are radicalised by an ideology and people in power can't see it and cheer them on. I can't really think on another example where that's happened to this extent.

In vino veritas

Sorry to disappoint, I haven't had any alcohol since last summer, I am not into alcohol, I am however very tired in every way one can be.

Maybe someone is projecting 🍷 ?

The do desire the arrests of groomers and incompetent people we fund as taxpayers to safeguard.

Justme56 · 02/04/2023 00:05

Lidia Thorpe of lets lie down in front of a pride float fame ran at PP from behind and security stopped her. What was her intention? Was it to intimidate, threaten attack - in that situation know one knows. I gather security tried to help her up but she would rather make a spectacle of herself crawling across the grass in her hiking heels. If she had waited in turn she could have asked to speak. That’s what the other women do. Lidia is a woman yes but she’s not that special that she can push her way in.

yourhairiswinterfire · 02/04/2023 00:04

MerlinsLostMarbles · 01/04/2023 22:40

What were they talking about? Or intending to talk about?

Ah, crack 72 year old's skull first, ask questions later.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 01/04/2023 23:56

landOFconfusion · 01/04/2023 22:41

Have you been drinking?

In vino veritas

yourhairiswinterfire · 01/04/2023 23:51

Ah, women "provoke" men with our words. If we'd just stop talking, the poor little oppressed men wouldn't need to batter us.

Keep making your shitty excuses.

Women have had years of provocation (to put it mildly) from anti-woman activists. They've assaulted us, threatened to rape and kill us, tracked down our children's schools with threats to hurt them, they've unlawfully discriminated against us, and on and on.

Yet women have managed to keep our hands to ourselves. We've never turned up to a trans event and cracked a trans persons skull or broken their bones.

The posters that keep popping up to victim blame should go and spew their MVAWG-condoning bullshit on the incel and MRA type subs on Reddit, you'll fit right in there.

WhiteFire · 01/04/2023 23:49

I think people are allowed to disagree with Lidia Thorpe and lots of people do.

Just because she is a woman, doesn't mean she's right all the time.

MorrisZapp · 01/04/2023 23:38

I was at LWS in Glasgow so I know what was spoken about. Womens prisons, womens safety, girls toilets in schools, domestic abuse, the police, our elected politicians and more. It was a wonderful event attended by passionate, articulate women of all ages and diverse social backgrounds. I've never seen or heard a tra engage on a single thing that was spoken about. All they have is drowning our voices out.

WhiteFire · 01/04/2023 23:35

When an anti-trans event is planned,

What were they talking about? Or intending to talk about?

Two separate posts from Merlin not even 15 minutes apart. Firstly absolute resolute it was an anti-trans event, but also no idea what the content was. This is dizzy heights of square pegs and round holes.

Happylittlechicken · 01/04/2023 23:35

@MerlinsLostMarbles sorry to double post but are you claiming the sane police you were applauding earlier in the thread were attacking the gender ideologists? For any reason, or do the NZ/Aus police just hate all women indiscriminately?

Happylittlechicken · 01/04/2023 23:32

I can’t wait to hear @MerlinsLostMarbles explanation as to why antifa attacked women and not actual Nazis. And to see the proof of the violence by the women.
