In The Times

Seems like he's done a strategic U turn. I bet at least he's glad he can stop dodging the "what is a woman?" question.

He says, "for 99.9% of women it is completely biological and of course they haven't got penises"

So 0.1% of women have penises?

Yeah slippery Keir - right up with "I did not have sex with that woman" or "I didn't inhale" 🙄

ISpyCobraKai · 01/04/2023 18:58

I wouldn't touch him with someone else's barge pole.
He's a no, from me.

Pinesinthedunes · 01/04/2023 18:58

Nope, nothing less than a sincere apology that demonstrates he means and understands it to Rosie Duffield and a pledge to repeal the GRA.

QueenHippolyta · 01/04/2023 18:58

All very vague; he didn't mention keeping women's prisons, hospital wards and refuges single sex.
Oh Kellie-Jay I can wait to see her tear apart his waffling.

Xoxoxoxoxoxox · 01/04/2023 18:58

Until I see him with the handshake with Rosie Duffield I don't believe him.

Redshoeblueshoe · 01/04/2023 18:56

That was a lot of words to say nothing.

Foreversearch · 01/04/2023 18:55

Until Kier is clear that for 100% of women it’s biological and that woman = adult human female he isn’t getting my vote.

I'm wondering if he is pre-empting being held to account by KJK.

He'll have to do better than that then, she's going to make mincemeat of him on this issue.

FourTeaFallOut · 01/04/2023 18:52

Oh God, really? Trans rights can't override women's rights but you can't say that women have cervixes but women are really important to the Labour party but it should be easier to achieve the legal fiction of being a woman and apparently they need to appeal to Stevenage Woman and women should be able to speak about their issues, but not Rosie Duffield, if she talks then fuck her? Something clear, like that?

JoodyBlue · 01/04/2023 18:51

I'm wondering if he is pre-empting being held to account by KJK.

FOJN · 01/04/2023 18:50

Being a woman is 100% biological.

There is no such thing a birth gender.

We do not need a legal framework to validate a lie.

chevvyroo · 01/04/2023 18:50

He says, "for 99.9% of women it is completely biological and of course they haven't got penises"

I'm watching with interest as to how the Guardian reports this, I don't think they would even print those words. Will they just ignore this?

Back to the old "I've decided 99.9% of women are biological", while actively snubbing Rosie Duffield on a visit.

Fuck off.

nilsmousehammer · 01/04/2023 18:47

WHAT rights?

TQ+ people have the same, equal rights as any one else.

The 'right' being sought is in fact privilege. To be exempt from the boundaries that restrict others, to falsify legal documents, to loosen child safeguarding where it is inconvenient, and to remove long established rights from women.

Time to challenge these verbal fig leaves in every interview, he gets away with a lot of them.

lifeissweet · 01/04/2023 18:44

I don't trust him.
I think they're trying positions out for size. He still thinks there is a way to please everyone.

Spoiler: there isn't.

Flippy floppy flip flop.
