I can’t see any circumstances where an entire nation will happily give up their homes and businesses to the state without authoritarian force being involved, so I’m not sure how Ash plans to square that little circle.

As a Christian who enjoys pointing out to those who preach the "prosperity gospel" that the early church practiced a form of communism, this cheers me up enormously.

I've considered myself more left-wing/Old Labour than New Labour for a very long time, but always voted for them as the least-worst mainstream party that at least paid lip service to the causes of social justice. I may have to start looking at the communist manifesto a bit more closely.

i get that you have family issues around "communism" but if you are not prepared to accept that the issues around the USSR are based mainly on clearly narcissistic authoritarian dictators, I can't say anything that will change your mind.

Jewish people exhibit similar 'family issues' in refusing to accept that Naziism is lovely if you ignore Hitler doing it wrong.

I am really enjoying this! On a serious note, their statement is clear and reasonable, what we should be expecting from Labour/SNP/Green Party.
In the blink of an eye all this fuckery started and here we are, uneasy bedfellows with factions we did not expect to be in bed with, but as women we must keep the path clear for the safeguarding of Women and Children. Just to point out the CPB and the CPGB are different organisations and this statement is from the CPB.

But this is quite interesting in terms of who is likely to believe in biology isn't it? Transpires that there are people who recognise the material reality of biological sex across the entire political spectrum. All the way from anarchists, the CPB, the Morning Star, many of the mainstream newspapers, all the mainstream political parties (although this lot need to pull their socks up a bit), the religious right in America and Nazis. So AWAs can hardly get away with continuing to imply that GC = aligned with Nazis can they?
