Chris Phelp on KJK and trans movement. This seems significant.

Mishy's repeated dishonesty and implicit support of violence is what reassures me I'm on the correct side of history on this.
That and the fact when Mishy ever does attempt to answer a question it's almost always about 'what someone looks like'.

PronounssheRa · 27/03/2023 12:54

WhaeanuiWe all understand what you meant. Any movement which prioritises the voices and opinion of mainly white men, and prevents women including women from minority groups speaking, should absolutely be called out for what they are.

CryptoFascistMadameCholet · 27/03/2023 12:52

The only message of division I can see around here is the poster who appears to be advocating for assaulting women who have the gall to say things in public?

Faffertea · 27/03/2023 12:51

@Whaeanui
I don’t know if you are new here or whether I haven’t come across your posts before but hearing your voice about the events over the weekend has been invaluable.

I also loved learning about some of the Māori feminists you posted about.

@MishyJDI continuing to come onto these threads and ignore the repeated statements that local Maori invited her while saying locals didn’t want her, gives the impression to me, a Maori women that you are racist because you are discounting Maori voices. In addition you are also condoning the violent way that white people treated Posie and other women, including a Maori steward who had her foot broken and an elderly women who was punched. I think these positions of yours are bigoted hate for women and Maori.

Beautifully put.

Whaeanui · 27/03/2023 12:42

Just so it’s clear, I explained that the words used were giving the impression Mishy is racist as that’s the definition of it, not including local Maori as local after inviting her. I’m saying this because I know calling people racist isn’t very accepted on MN and it’ll inevitably be reported.

FOJN · 27/03/2023 12:41

Last week Keir Starmer stated a Labour government would commit to halving violence against women and girls , let's see someone from the Labour Party step up and condemn the violence against women we saw in NZ.

ArabellaScott · 27/03/2023 12:40

The 'message of division' is, presumably, that of women being divided from men, i.e. arguing for sex segregated spaces. Is that what you meant, Mishy?

She was a guest to another country, and spreading a message of division. The locals had every right to oppose a message of division, dressed up as "womens rights". Meanwhile, the UK right wing keep milking the culture wars.

"A message of division?". How so? She says nothing hateful. She speaks about the right for women to just. be. allowed. to. talk. Have you ever actually listened to the women who speak at her events? Disabled women, women who have been raped, women who suffer from PTSD. And you are the perfect example of "well, she deserves to be attacked". Slow clap.

MarshaBradyo · 27/03/2023 12:36

You are suggesting violent assault and threat is justified.

Your words are a perfect illustration if the problem: thank you.

There really are posters who support punching women so they can’t speak.

Nailed it - a racist, homophobic, misogynistic, male supremacist.

Yeah because it’s only women’s rights if your prioritising men, isn’t that right? 🙄

Boom! Well done KJK and all the NZ women organisers.

Wtf has it come too that multiple women were assaulted by transactivists before the authorities decided to take notice?

We're going to win this. Losing simply isn't an option.

including apparently sanctioned kettling at Speakers Corner just this weekend by TRAs.
The police response should be criticized. They’re leaving peaceful women who are protesting completely unprotected.

Odd isn't it, the police are very mindful of the right to free speech when it comes to men on the streets hurling abuse and death threats at women through megaphones, then seem to forget all about that right to freedom of expression when it comes to women they're hauling in for ''voluntary'' interviews because she exercised her rights in a non-violent manner.

The police are a joke. A waste of space. It looks like they either sympathise with these violent MRA terrorists, or they're too scared to police them.

The left wing (whatever that is supposed to mean nowadays) are physically assaulting people and you blame the right for what? Saying it’s not ok to attack women?

Give your head a wobble!

privateeyeeye · 27/03/2023 12:20

Loving Mishys ‘hot take‘ - women talking in públic about their rights and concerns for children should be punched and abused.

anyone in the UK who thinks it’s a bad look to abuse women for talking in public is Tory.

oh I bet you long for the days of ‘no debate’.

Why are you on Mumsnet if you don’t believe women should have a voice? Or rights?

What do you mean by oppose

Violence against women?

Punching 70 year old women and hounding out people with violence. Are you ok with that?

nilsmousehammer · 27/03/2023 12:17

Still waiting incidentally for you to confirm the same thing on the other thread Mishy:

Are you saying that it is acceptable to assault a woman for saying something you disagree with?

nilsmousehammer · 27/03/2023 12:15

Legitimate views.

Assaulted by a baying mob.

Unacceptable.

MishyJDI · 27/03/2023 12:14

ArabellaScott · 27/03/2023 11:46

‘I completely support everybody’s right to protest, especially women’s rights to protest. I think the way that women’s rights have been threatened by the trans movement is deeply concerning to me, I’m very concerned about the law that was proposed obviously in Scotland, that the government took action over.

I think what happened in New Zealand was just terrible, that lady had every right to express her views in defence of women’s rights, it was a completely legitimate thing to do and the way that she was essentially abused by a baying mob was completely unacceptable’

lifeturnsonadime · 27/03/2023 12:14

Good.

Now the Labour Party needs to notice and stop burying it's head in the sand.

This is a clear and deliberate attack on women's rights.

MarshaBradyo · 27/03/2023 12:13

ArabellaScott · 27/03/2023 11:49

I'm stunned to hear this stated so clearly:

"women’s rights have been threatened by the trans movement"

Thanks for this

And to KJK for showing it so plainly and everyone who keeps posting so well on here
