SNP leadership campaign

Starting this thread because the new SNP leader is due to be announced on Monday afternoon, sometime after 2pm.

Thought we could have a thread of speculation (who's going to win, what they'll do) followed by reactions after they make the announcement.

It's ... Humza Yousaf. But only on second preferences.

That's weird, isn't it? You'd think Ash's second preferences would go to Kate Forbes.

I apologise, incidentally, for starting two threads with exactly the same name. I'd forgotten about the first one when I started this one!

Underwhelmed. Ash looks miffed. No hug for Humza from her.

guinnessguzzler · 27/03/2023 14:14

Yes I thought that seemed a low turnout, considering. Well the Greens will be happy but good luck to him navigating that shite.

Hoardasurass · 27/03/2023 14:12

We're fucked then

GottoHandit · 27/03/2023 14:12

What a surprise! 25% of those eligible didn’t vote - that’s appalling!

Rainbowshit · 27/03/2023 14:12

It's Humza. 🤭

GrouchyKiwi · 27/03/2023 14:12

No surprises then.

Am I the only one who didn't know you could add GIFs on MN?

We got them on international women's day. I don't think they are as obvious if you are using your mobile

GrouchyKiwi · 27/03/2023 14:03

Golly, Professor Curtice has aged a lot since I last saw him.

I also need a pee. To dash now or hold it a bit longer. This conundrum is more difficult than the SNP leadership contest.

Boiledbeetle · 27/03/2023 13:01

I wonder if Tunnocks are aware of what causes the odd spikes in their sales figures every couple of weeks?
