Standing for Women - NZ tour discussion. (To prevent further derailing of the thread for centring the women)

Let’s move the general discussion about the New Zealand ‘Let Women Speak’ tour out of the thread set up to centre the women speaking at the Australian and New Zealand tours.

This was the live feed.

https://www.youtube.com/live/eDuy2Kx2HlI?feature=share

The event was over run by violent trans activists. Not only did they use the usual intimidation tactics, but also threw substances at Kellie Jay, the women and the security.

As far as I can observe, it was a woman that poured the soup over Posie.

What a crazy day. Come from a position of fear, and not tolerance, and you do unearth some powerful forces that you may not actually like.

Sad days indeed. At least KJK reaffirmed she ain't a feminist.

This tour will stick with her when she is back in the UK. Not sure its been a success. Hopefully more rational voices will take back centre stage. That we can all cheer for.

WomanXXWorldsOriginsofMothersofAllNations · 25/03/2023 15:18

I feel I can't call myself a feminist as I don't tick all the boxes. I felt alienated by 'real' feminist. KJK's message resonated with me and made me feel I could still play a part in women's rights activism.

For me, this is KJKs success. I’m not clever enough to be an academic feminist and I trip over all the language so I’m just made to feel dumb. Posie gave me a voice I could use, in my real life, and I’m peaking people everywhere. This weekends misogynist gluttony feast is the rancid cherry on a rotten cake, which they are welcome to, unlike my rights.

I've never been to one of her events before nor me, but I was actually goaded to by a prolific anti women MN poster taking the piss, I just thought - actually fuck you.
I went on my own (with a bag packed for either being assaulted or arrested) and met some awesome women, and met KJK, and I am so glad I did. Those women who talk deserve us at least (trying to) turn up to listen.

LittleFingerStrength · 25/03/2023 15:15

They also went after Neville's Grandmother too. How dare people speak or publish the truth, the lows people will sink to, going after family!

They locked the borders during the pandemic also

This meant that over 150 NZ women, female citizens, had to give birth somewhere overseas. They did not get special exemptions to return to have their babies. However, they did make exemptions for American and British movie companies and all the stars and their staff. I won’t watch any films made there under those circumstances.

Justnot · 25/03/2023 15:07

Not sure if it’s been said elsewhere but obviously lots of left wing feminist like myself are gender critical and don’t support the posters excusing male violence etc, I am sitting here fuming like everyone else, thankful for all the amazing women standing up to the bullshit

MalagaNights · 25/03/2023 15:04

I'm am so bloody angry I don't know what to do with it.
I've decided today I'm going to the next SFW event. I'm going to turn up in solidarity with Posie to show they can't shut her up because they can't shut all of us up.

I've never been to one of her events before, they didn't feel for me.
But I'm going now. And I hope lots of women feel the same, and we'll turn out in numbers for her, and this will be a real moment of solidarity for women.

I'm so fucking livid this has happened in a western 'liberal' country. Men stopping women speaking.
No.

*Ah yes, more important to be left wing than actually want to protect women's and children's rights.

I recall having a heated debate on social media with a very well known, intelligent feminist who I greatly admire and who is impressively articulate - she told me that I could not be a feminist because I am not left wing.*

The left seem to become more and more intolerant of anything that is also not left. Since when is feminism only for left minded people? What ever happened to feminism is for all women, regardless of race, age, politics or religion? So women who are not left or left enough don't deserve sex based rights? No wonder most women don't call themselves feminists...

I feel I can't call myself a feminist as I don't tick all the boxes. I felt alienated by 'real' feminist. KJK's message resonated with me and made me feel I could still play a part in women's rights activism.

The footage from this has the potential to royally screw their tourism industry what woman would decide to visit the country for a holiday! its currently right up there as a destination not to visit as a woman.

NZ tourism board has a new strapline:

New Zealand - proudly misogynistic

I agree. What women in their right mind would want to go there??

Quite apart from the whole trans issue, they fucking hate women.

I'm posting a link to Pesky Woman KPSS twitter page because she is retweeting all the support KJK is receiving from well known names from across the political spectrum.

Thank you for that FOJN.

I have been absolutely fuming since this first kicked off. But it's that which has brought me to tears.

Three days ago I wondered if this would spark an international incident.

Unless the Oz and NZ politicians come out and say they unequivocally do not endorse the violence and of course women, whether visitors or not are welcome to speak, our government should absolutely have something to say about one of their citizens being publicly assaulted.

It really is quite ironic that people complain about Posie being blunt, unapologetic, gobby etc. like there's something wrong with her approach.

When is only through her rallies that everyone else has come to accept TRAs as fucking violent, irredeemably misogynistic, and full of porn addled men using their hormonally altered bodies to intimidate women and girls.

A lot of people thought this extreme ideology was a small part of it. It isn't. It's practically all of it.

Anyone, any woman I should say, who has squared up to it has found that out very, very quickly.

From Gallus Meg, to Posie Parker.

we see it on here all the time. Wheedling men who just want to pee, who turn into violent thugs the minute you tell them to fuck off.

They will not be able to bury this.

This should be the subject of cartoons.

This male violence that we’re often meant to accept as ‘she’

Where are those mainstream political cartoons

I'm confused, now. Did Ruth post that cartoon? Or did Bragg post it, and she objected.

Sarah Pillimore says tweeted and deleted by RS, not retweeted and deleted. I interpret the response to BB was because he appears to be celebrating Kiwis having the measure of Posie Parker. She certainly doesn't appear to be disagreeing with his assertion that KJK is "far right".
