I can’t believe the misogyny and hostility towards women.

Some of the mermaids staff supported pedophelia@CremeEggQueen so should we infer that as some pedophiles also support gender ideology, all proponents of GI are pedophiles? If not, why not. Both pedophiles and gender ideologists are invested in convincing everyone children are able to make decisions about their bodies from a young age, so as they share that belief, by your logic, all gender ideologists are pedophiles? If not, why not?

SquidwardBound · 24/03/2023 13:26

Remember the days when a ‘reducto ad hitlerum’ meant you automatically lost any argument online?

Can we go back to that please?

Which beliefs do you think they share?
I have literally answered that in the very post you quoted 😕

Humans not being able to change sex is a fact, not a belief.

And yet you have very much ignored me pointing out the overlap between neo nazis and TRAS in their attitudes to women's rights.

Even if they're not 'your lot'. It's identical reasoning to your 'overlap' accusations, although in this case it's based on actual evidence of what they think as opposed to made up convenient (to you) inference.

Sorry, are you referring to this part of your post:

Not sharing the same belief as them against one of the minorities (trans people for anyone who goes what, who do you mean?)

Because this is pretty incoherent.

LWS aren't against trans people. LWS don't really have beliefs as an organisation, as LWS is more an event allowing individual women to speak. So it's possible that one or more of the women speaking were "against trans people" - but really, you need to be more specific. What do you mean by having a belief against trans people? What leads you to think that Nazis and LWS share this belief?

CremeEggQueen · 24/03/2023 12:41

beastlyslumber · 24/03/2023 12:32

You don't seem to know what you're talking about? What makes you think that the Nazis share any beliefs with the women talking at LWS? Which beliefs do you think they share? (If you're referring to the anti-paedophilia belief, I'd like to think that EVERYONE present shared that belief.)

The Nazi group stated that they were opposed to LWS - so why do you think they were there to support them?

At this point, it just seems like you're lying?

But what actual belief are you on about?.
If you read my post again you'll see I answered that.
Anti paedo signs? Who are they aiming that at, "GC' women or LGBT people?
When paedo is often thrown out as an insult towards LGBT people, just for being gay or trans, it's going to be them and you're incredibly naive (,or pretending not to see on purpose) if you think otherwise.
Why did they feel emboldened to come out at this, rally?
Enormous coincidence that it was somewhere they knew their views on this minority group (trans people) were shared.
As I said, maybe more extreme than some, but still shared.

Are you suggesting that women shouldn't defend their own rights in case some unrelated groups show up to abuse trans people?

It seems to be lost as the main issue

It is the most illogical, stupidest argument. Were the British troops fascist because the Nazis turned up wherever they went?

Yes, they're at the extreme end more than most but they still share the same view

Again, TRAs and neo-nazis share the same views about women's rights.

In fact in the UK, and quite possibly elsewhere, both groups share a liking for issuing us with rape threats, although in fairness apparently only the TRAs kiss knives and promote our decapitation.

Are you aware that the TRAs regularly shout and have signs accusing the women at the let women speak events of being child abusers?

It's really not clear, which group was being accused of being paedophiles...you seem to automatically assume its aimed at the TRAs of being paedophiles. Why is that your first thought!

What is clear is that two groups, the women there just to talk, and the TRAs, there to shout and protest have both accused the other side of child abuse, not paedophilia, but child abuse, different things. but more in connection, as far as I'm aware, to women thinking medicating and surgically altering children is child abuse and the TRAs regularly accusing the women of abusing children by not wanting them medicated and surgically altered and immediately affirmed as the other sex.

The guys with the sign knew both groups, and others would be there, how the hell should anyone but them know why they choose that event or who their sign was aimed at?

Given how little you seem to know for sure why is it you choose to immediately assume the TRAs are most likely to be the paedophiles mentioned in the sign?

Why do you assume from this one sign that those men were there to support the women?

Why are you making these big unsubstantiated leaps in connecting things?

There’s a new breed of young, violent, far-right activist in Britain: ‘white jihadists’ | Matthew Collins

The neo-Nazi founder of the terror group National Action was jailed this week. Sadly, there are more like him, says Matthew Collins of Hope Not Hate

I was reading an article on BBC news this morning about far right groups clashing with LGBT protesters in Sydney, nothing to do with KJK

it’s hard to understand another country’s politics but my takeaway was that Australia seems to have quite a problem with violent far right groups

that’s definitely not something you can hold KJK responsible for

You really do see the world in very simple terms don’t you?

at least when it suits you. I expect when it comes to explaining why you think some men are women the world suddenly gets complicated again

But what actual belief are you on about?. In actual words what belief did you think the guys with the anti paedophile sign, that we still can't be sure which group the sign was aimed at as there was apparently a lot of groups there, shared with anyone other than they don't like kiddie fiddlers which i think we've all agreed is a perfectly acceptable stance no matter what other opinions you hold.

So why do you assume they were there to share anything other than their anti paedophile stance? What in that makes you so sure they are there in support of the women rather than the TRAs who regularly call Terfs child abusers?

What am i missing here?

Happylittlechicken · 24/03/2023 11:58

So @CremeEggQueen are you saying these Nazis that turned up are really feminists who believe women should be able to be whoever they want and do whatever they want?

I mean antifa believe in not letting women speak, and the Nazis aren’t really up on letting women speak, so as they believe the same thing about a minority…. Are antifa Nazis or are the Nazis antifa?

I hadn’t watched this before as I was reading the thread. Wow KJK is a formidable woman.

SinnerBoy · 24/03/2023 01:07

The other PP thread is now full.

I'll comment to minirriot here, related, on KJK and denouncing Nazis:

You said, in the same post, that she hadn't denounced the Nazis, then that she did, but years ago, then that she did, several times this past week, but that wasn't good enough for your liking that it wasn't reported prominently.

The fact that virtually the entire Antipodean and British press have simply lied about what's going on, smearing her as an anti trans, rather than a women's rights activist seems to have escaped you.

They have also attempted to smear her, by associating her with Nazis. Of course they won't give any publicity to her criticism of them, because they are (although dishonest) not dim enough to contradict themselves in the same articles.

Whatever she says and does, except shutting up and going away will be enough for you.

@ArabellaScott Yes, that rings true. But it is manifesting as misogyny, even if that isn't the primary driver. His wife made a hugely offensive comment about TERFS and the Holocaust. So I guess her deeply defensive reaction is manifesting as anti semitism.

I agree. KJK has said the absolutely worst thing to them that anyone could say; 'You have abused your child'. They are responding by saying the absolutely worst thing they can think of to her. In his case it is misogynistic. He is attacking her as a woman and comparing her to shit. For his partner, antisemitism is clearly the most horrendous insult she can fling, so that's what she's settled on. But their insults have no power because they are not true and because what she has said about them is true. Having just watched her video (thanks @beastlyslumber ) she is certainly not crying into her tea, but I certainly hope they are waking in the night in a cold sweat, wondering how they have got to a point where they have not only harmed their child but are standing on a public stage degrading themselves by making appalling, defamatory statements about a woman who stands up for the rights of women and children.

The horrifying thing is, not the way the McKim and his wife reached for the childish insults, but they way they're encouraging other parents down the same path. Does anyone know what kinds of "conversion therapy" laws are in place in Tasmania?

*I love creme eggs. I think their existence is valid and adds to the glorious diversity of food choices we enjoy.

I do not however believe they are real eggs, or that a recipe for omelette will be the same if one decides to make it with creme eggs.

Because some things are not other things even if they happen to use the same word, and that is OK. Celebrate creme eggs for what they are. Just don't make the claim they are actual eggs, and don't cancel real eggs just for existing.

Disclaimer: many people with vile and prejudiced attitudes also make a distinction between creme eggs and real eggs. The author's having similar beliefs on this single matter of eggitude does not imply concordance of beliefs on any other matter.*

Fabulous! 👏 👏
