Sorry if there's already a thread - apparently this nightmarish-sounding company offering a hellish-sounding job don't want the likes of FWR posters to apply. Also they don't seem to understand discrimination law.

Maisie is so very obviously one of those women who talk a good game about mindfulness and kindness but who are actually a seething ball of passive aggressive rage just under the surface.

She's Amanda from Motherland.

I spend a lot of time talking to women about their periods. Missed ones, heavy ones, painful ones and ones that happen after the menopause. And I am qualified to know whether there’s a problem or not.

Clearly missed a trick in charging £20,000 for it though….

This is absolutely mind-boggling🤯
Who on earth would contemplate spending £20,000 on talking about periods?

ApocalipstickNow · 19/03/2023 08:23

What if you don’t identify with your rising sign? I can get very complicated when you bring various astrological identities into things.

I mean, I absolutely do NOT identify with my Chinese Zodiac sign- that’s not my personality at all- does that change my age?

maybe if I figure it all out I can Life Coach about it for a handsome wodge of cash🤔

guinnessguzzler · 19/03/2023 08:02

And more to the point, how on earth can you have been a doula to hundreds of women and not know wtf a woman is?!

whatwasIgoingtosay · 19/03/2023 07:58

From her website: I’ve given thousands of treatments, been a doula to hundreds of women and their loved ones, and mentored dozens of other practitioners and doulas as they started their careers.
My qualifications include:
BSc Chinese Medicine Acupuncture which included a semester in the neurology department of a Chinese hospital.
Diplomas in Life Coaching, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Massage, and the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT).
Post-graduate diploma in Paediatric Acupuncture.
So, she doesn't have a single qualification in nursing or midwifery, but has been a doula to hundreds of women? What overweening self-belief she must have! And what a dangerous, self-deluded person.

guinnessguzzler · 19/03/2023 07:31

I think Maisie and Beks are actually the same person, just working shifts around each other / themself. Hence the saying 'Same shit, different day'. A bit like Pip Bunce.

SidewaysOtter · 19/03/2023 07:18

From her Instagram: “I use a brain-meets-body approach”.

What does that even mean? My brain IS apart of my body…unless I haven’t been bringing my whole self and I’ve accidentally left it somewhere else?

As for voice notes from this halfwit, fuck that. Could you imagine your phone pinging at some ungodly hour, only to find a voice note wittering on about how your oestrogen is peaking? <shudders>

Morph22010 · 19/03/2023 04:57

My first thought is that it sounds more like an employee role rather than self employed, trying to tax dodge and not pay holidays

dudsville · 19/03/2023 03:55

I mean, we could just flood her inbox with applications she has to at least waste her time reading to decline...

Pthagonal · 19/03/2023 02:35

For instance, I’m day 10 in my cycle, I've got Oestrogen about to peak, I'm pre-ovulation, I'm feeling great - this has been a great day for public speaking! But that doesn't mean that if you got in contact with me and asked me to come in on day 20, when I like peace and quiet and I'd rather be at home on the sofa, that I wouldn't have been able to do it.

I so want to try this BS on my manager, and see how far I can push it. 😅😅😅😅

IcakethereforeIam · 19/03/2023 00:11

Pish and Beks!

Baaaaaa · 18/03/2023 23:52

CandidaAlbicans2 · 18/03/2023 18:35

She's asking £20K for weekly life coaching for 6 months?! With just a "diploma"?! I notice she hasn't said what level diploma, but judging by her other qualifications it'll be a load of woo bollocks anyway 🙄

And of course she's now studying "nutritional therapy" at a "Naturopathic Medicine" college, rather than going to uni and studying an Association for Nutrition approved BSc in nutrition, or studying dietetics.

Love how she says "I’m an all round fantastic person" on her website, when my thoughts are tedious, self-indulgent, navel-gazing, cliched, middle-class, twat"

£769.23 per session! 😀

You love the idea of receiving voice notes from Bek and Maisie with ideas, tasks they’ve thought of, and any questions they have. 😷

You can manage your own mind, have low drama, and take responsibility for how you show up to work.

and

We are a close team and we bring our whole selves to work, knowing that when we do that, we are better able to support each other and work as a team.

Translation: You can bring your whole self as long as you don't bring negative energy. You'll be too busy dealing with yours to have your own.

Leftoverssandwich · 18/03/2023 22:22

I’m very confused by all this.

Who is Beks?

30 hours a month but needs to work every weekday and some weekends. Is this just an hour a day?

What does she DO? Coach women through having periods?

2013isback · 18/03/2023 22:13

OMG, this job was absolutely made for me!! My rising sign is Ophiuchus, which doesn't even officially exist to most bigots, so I am VERY MUCH not like the other "girls"!!

I am so gonna sue if she discriminates against me for being a turf. 🙄

Also, I self-ID as earning $200,000 US a month - sorry, I don't take £; unstable exchange rate - and I only work 3 hours a month, soooooo there's a teensy weensy adjustment needed to the contract, Maisie - there's a dear!

Something about this job advert is giving 'substandard HR department'.

Gosh, that's optimistic, I sincerely doubt there is an HR department at all.

RedToothBrush · 18/03/2023 22:08

OnTheThames · 18/03/2023 18:11

I’ve just read Maisie’s bio. She’s basically an acupuncturist with some sort of ‘qualification’ in life coaching.

I think she needs to cleanse her chakras and align her energy before she writes anymore job ads.

So a bullshit con artist then?

I am amazed there is no mention of the scientific merits of homeopathy tbh.

OnTheThames · 18/03/2023 22:08

Everyone knows TERFs and Scorpios are bitches

Are they looking for a particular star sign?

Is that discriminatory?

Probably the 13th sign. I've forgotten what it's called but it reminds me of spiders for some reason. Its super mystical because nobody will know about it except the chosen few.

Dillydollydingdong · 18/03/2023 22:05

I wouldn't want to waste my time on this lot, but I'm old school

DeoForty · 18/03/2023 22:04

Hold on. 20k to work on a 1:1 basis for 6 months and she still gets to decide if 'we' move forward with the application. Wahahahahahaha

Shall we all apply
really really long CV

That would be funny Grin.

Two applications from some Insta kids who believe ‘the universe is delivering’ but secretly DO want to be paid to Fanny about on Instagram all day entrepreneurs.

Fifty applications from gender critical women who have actual employment histories and have actual periods
