Am I Reading This Right?... Rosie Duffield Throwing KJK Under The Bus?!

From what i can tell, Rosie has quote tweeted a lloyd russell tweet, that is having a go at Kellie J.
Rosie it seems, has thrown Kellie under the bus by claiming, ' look i'm not like that other woman, so listen to me '! That's how i'm reading it anyway.
If so, that's the last time i hop in when it's rosie getting all the flak, she can do one!
I notice Bindle is there too!

FGS it's okay to point out that you are a feminist with different priorities to KJK.

It would be a lot more troubling if women were mindless sheep who agreed with everything she said in case they were accused of being a TRA.

Women having differing views and priorities is normal, yes.

So why not just state your own views as an independent viewpoint rather than constantly single out one other woman to oppose over and over again?

Floisme · 12/03/2023 10:36

I mean the original might even demonstrate your point, who knows!

It's the way you seem to have posted it without even noticing that it had been cut short, let alone knowing what it says in full that I find so very telling.

Floisme · 12/03/2023 10:33

Why are you getting angry?

Why not just say, 'Ah I see what you mean, my bad, I'll go and look for the original screenshot''

Thank you Sapphos for confirming that you used an incomplete screenshot to demonstrate your point.

From your post upthread, it also sounds very much as if you didn't even notice it had been cut short until I asked about it three times.

Trying to guess what she might said next is so not the point and I find it hard to believe you seriously think that's an adequate response.

I think I had better keep any further thoughts to myself.

Unfortunately what KJK said could be used against GC women to support that narrative. Yes I know young girls getting abortions is a different issue but TRAs clutch at straws.

Indeed they do.

Indeed they do!

SapphosRock · 12/03/2023 07:59

No. KJK said she would be willing to give up her right to a legal abortion in her fight against gender ideology. That is perfectly okay but lots of GC feminists absolutely would not give up their right to legal abortion.

If a politician if very clear that she is pro-choice and prioritises abortion rights this is not throwing KJK under a bus, it is having different priorities.

No. KJK said she would be willing to give up her right to a legal abortion in her fight against gender ideology. That is perfectly okay but lots of GC feminists absolutely would not give up their right to legal abortion.

And yet, it is you who keeps bringing it up. It is you who keeps posting a screenshot and your words can be interpreted to be framed to read that it is KJK who is ‘anti-abortion’ and ‘right wing’.

It really keeps coming back to whether or not women reading your words understand that there are feminists out there who will do this in this sly manner. But those who understand how it is being framed this way, also understand that some feminists view others as resources. Resources to be tapped into for different reasons so they might choose to walk a line that seems disingenuous but I now believe is deliberate.

So, yes. Women are not a fucking hive mind. And yes! Women can have different priorities.

Yet, it is you posting here in a way that seems to be to portray a woman who chooses not to adopt your priorities in the order you and your friends believe is the only priority, as being worthy of being denounced.

Once you see the pattern of posting, you cannot miss it.

And why the posters doing it think others cannot see it?

Floisme · 12/03/2023 09:32

Sapphos, why don't you check your own post at 14.19 yesterday.
The screenshot you used to demonstrate your point ends, 'Once we can....' and the rest is cut off.

Are you saying you used it without knowing what she said next?

Yes I did.

And unless she subsequently said 'of course I am not being serious' then I don't see the problem with using it.

She has other priorities and that is fine.

Still reading through the thread but thank you for saying this. Am open mouthed in shock at some of the posts I am reading. 😡

Yes absolutely this!

SapphosRock · 12/03/2023 09:25

Floisme

It isn't cut mid sentence. 'If that isn't worth setting aside even the right to a legal abortion I don't know what is.' is the end of the sentence.

I don't know what she says next.

If women are willing to set aside their right to legal abortion to oppose gender ideology I respect their view but do not share it.

And that is basically what Rosie Duffield is saying, along with pointing out that it is lazy of RLM to pretend that all gender critical women have the same opinions.

EndlessTea · 10/03/2023 08:00

I think protecting underage girls from statutory rape and sexual exploitation is a feminist issue.

Who does it serve to give a twelve year old girl contraception without informing the parents or social services?

Oh yeah - it serves the blokes who want to fuck underage girls without detection or consequence. I can understand why LRM would be on their side, but feminists? Hmmm…

Floisme · 12/03/2023 08:20

Sapphos for the 3rd time of asking:
You have used an incomplete screenshot of a KJK post to demonstrate you point:.
Why did you use a post that's cut off mid sentence?
Why is it cut at this point?
What does it go on to say?

SapphosRock · 12/03/2023 07:59

I'm with Rosie Duffield on this one. GC women are not a hive mind and have different priorities.

If that is divisive then so be it.

Apart from Posie who is only allowed to do what your checklist states she can do. Got it.

EndlessTea · 12/03/2023 07:26

To be honest, I think we should be all over Stella Creasy’s proposals - TRAs are bound to be tagging something dubious onto it. It will probably be called something like ‘the reproductive rights bill’ and they’ll bring surrogacy and state provision of opposite sex parents who have no legal rights to their biological child through coerced ‘donation’. Something like that.

dimorphism · 12/03/2023 00:00

And finally why are politicians spending their time criticizing one woman who holds no office rather than focusing on fixing the safeguarding holes which are harming children, and there are many.

dimorphism · 11/03/2023 23:55

Kellie- jay instinctively gets safeguarding.

Many left wing feminists really do not

Here's the key point upon which the law and safeguarding frameworks are built: children are not the same as adults and to treat them as mini adults is very often harmful to them

Again: why are girls being treated like adults when it comes to sexual activity but not anything else (getting a job, driving, drinking, living independently)? Who does this benefit?

Why do some people seem hell bent on removing the support of the people who statistically are most likely to safeguard those children and act in their best interests? Why is one of the central principles of safeguarding -, information sharing - being ignored?

Floisme · 11/03/2023 23:32

Sapphos the KJK quote you posted upthread (14.19) isn't even complete. Why did you use it when it literally ends mid sentence?

The last time I saw you on here you were using a screenshot of a KJK retweet that had been framed so that it looked like she was in conversation with someone making homophobic comments. This was pointed out to you but you didn't amend your post.

After the Brighton SFW event I think I remember you complaining that nobody had spoken about the Sarah Summers case but it turned out you had been at the meeting yourself but had chosen not to speak.

Why do you keep doing this?
Because I'll tell you what, it's not KJK's reputation being damaged.

Anyway. If a seething misogynist like LRM suddenly takes an interest in women’s right to anything, I smell a rat.

You and me both @EndlessTea you and me both!

DemiColon · 11/03/2023 22:53

Lots of feminists (ie Rosie Duffield) consider these equally important issues.

So what? Some don't think they are equally urgent, or as equally important in themselves, or some may even have different opinions on them altogether.

You seem to have serious trouble understanding that different people, even with a similar desire for some general outcome, might have various viewpoints on what that means or how to achieve it.

SapphosRock · 11/03/2023 21:39

Datun that depends on your definition of women's rights.

A women's right to access single sex spaces is not worlds apart from a women's right to access legal abortion.

Lots of feminists (ie Rosie Duffield) consider these equally important issues.

Look at that. Another attempt at division.

It's second nature to you, isn't it sapphos.
