From what i can tell, Rosie has quote tweeted a lloyd russell tweet, that is having a go at Kellie J.
Rosie it seems, has thrown Kellie under the bus by claiming, ' look i'm not like that other woman, so listen to me '! That's how i'm reading it anyway.
If so, that's the last time i hop in when it's rosie getting all the flak, she can do one!
I notice Bindle is there too!

I'm not going to punish young women because of him. Abortion rights are women's rights and girls' rights.

Safeguarding is a child’s right.

This is absolutely the point people are missing.
Providing contraception for young girls without investigating why she is having sex, and with whom, is a safeguarding issue. Who should be advocating for her? Who should be protecting her? Who is ensuring her safety? Because 12 year olds cannot consent to sex - it’s rape, pure and simple.
Feminists should be shouting this from the rooftops!

Thank fuck for you two speaking sense!

The fear of looking ‘right wing’ to left wingers like Oiley Moyley must not prevent us from protecting 12 year old girls from pervert male predators!

LRM stood up in Parliament and said our kids should be taught to safely choke wank as part of school sex ed.

Who gives a flying fuck about what he thinks of any of us?

To be fair to KJK she has been pretty consistent in not considering abortion rights to be a priority.

She is entitled to her views but obviously many GC will disagree.

So do you think that unless abortion rights are someone’s ‘top priority’ then they are anti-abortion?

I think protecting underage girls from statutory rape and sexual exploitation is a feminist issue.

Who does it serve to give a twelve year old girl contraception without informing the parents or social services?

Oh yeah - it serves the blokes who want to fuck underage girls without detection or consequence. I can understand why LRM would be on their side, but feminists? Hmmm…

Surely if a 12 year old was pregnant they should ABSOLUTELY have access to a safe abortion!

The fact that you think KJK is anti-choice showed how RD chucked KJK under the bus by agreeing with LRMs lies about her.

Of course, the parents and social services should also be informed.

I’m not sure how you read that and got throwing KJK under the bus.

The most notable thing was the refusal to concede the feminist ground to LRM and his TRA agenda.

I don’t understand the idea that we must agree with and defend everything someone says because they’re on ‘our side’ that seems to be increasingly prevalent these days. Why wouldn’t there be a range of views within GC feminism? Why would anyone expect to agree with KJK?

I mean, I don’t even necessarily agree with everything I’ve ever said or done. Opinions and views are not unchanging monoliths. They shouldn’t be.

The way she did it, was to confirm LRMs mischaracterisation of her views.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 07:54

I support RD objecting to the video; I think it's the right move. I know KJK is not a feminist, but if she says something so blatantly anti-feminist, we have to push back.

What was anti feminist about what she said?

I don't see why everyone should be in agreement with everything KJK says. I support her views on a few GC issues but do not support her on many others. I don't see it as part of being GC that I should blindly follow, that way idol worship lies and I'm not a big fan.

This.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:09

Well no, it serves the young girl who doesn't want to get pregnant.

But the bloke sticking his cock up a child regularly gets no benefit?

HereForTheFreeLunch · 10/03/2023 08:02

Nuance went out the window so far back that we can't even see it.
I agree 12 years old on the pill should have their parents support. I also live in the real world and know there will be problems with that - both ways - on or off the pill, with or without parents in the know.
Apparently Labour (turned the blind eye at Rotherhams) is the best protector of women's and girl's rights?
On KJK I think she does great work but disagree with some things she says. Same goes for Rosie.

Sazzasez · 10/03/2023 07:51

I think disagreeing with someone on one point is scarcely “throwing them under the bus”.
Ive been to a couple of Standing for Women events & I’m glad KJK makes them happen. Women talk there who I disagree with on some things & agree with on other things.
The fundamental thing we agree on is that women exist and need to be able to talk.

KatMcBundleFace · 10/03/2023 07:48

Ffs
Women don't have to be a hive mind.

Rosie was responding to the myognists point that gender critical women are generally not anti abortion.

FOJN · 10/03/2023 07:47

I wouldn't have retweeted that odious little man to make a point about a video clip which clearly does not tell the whole story. The whole country saw LRM's disgusting, aggressive overreaction to MC's perfectly reasonable speech in the HoC, it's not as if he's perceived as a reasonable man so I think he is best ignored.

I'm just posting a link to SFW twitter where 12 hours ago KJK commented on this issue.

twitter.com/StandingforXX

KJK is heavily influenced by Sheila Jefferys who has some thought provoking things to say about the concept of consent.

SapphosRock · 10/03/2023 07:41

EndlessTea · 10/03/2023 07:35

I think RD shouldn’t have weighed in their unless she mentioned that KJK was talking about how gillick/Fraser competence should not be an excuse for not safeguarding children and involving parents.

I think it's really important to weigh in when you are a GC woman with a high profile and another GC woman with a high profile says something you fundamentally disagree with.

EndlessTea · 10/03/2023 07:35

ZuttZeVootEeeVo · 10/03/2023 07:28

I dont think Duffield's tweet is as strong as suggested.

Its always good to remind people how little LRM understands and wants to support safeguarding for children.

Blanketunderstars · 10/03/2023 07:27

I admire KJK’s GC views and her ability to express them. However let us not forget we are not bound to like everything she says, behaves.
I will not agree with everything she says as some sort of purity test, it almost feels ideological if that is the expectation. I spend my time leaning into the nuances to keep myself away from polarisation - this is one of those times.
