For being repeatedly misgendered.

However, listening to the recording, it's clear that the councillor tries very hard to get it right, but struggles with the ensuing grammatical errors it forces him to make.

Grammatically speaking, for a they/them, shouldn't the title be Newham Green Party leader storm out of council meeting?

I thought the latest fashion was for they/them combined with singular verb. As somebody who went through nine years of Latin in school, this is literal violence.

How precious.

GetOffMyDoorJack · 28/02/2023 16:08

I heard 2 misgenderings on TV today. People just don’t really believe what they are being expected to say.

Non binary is the ultimate attention seeking stance isn't it.

It's absurd. You're either male or female. I'm so bored of these muppets.

Loving Mr Vaughan bless himGrin

WarriorN · 28/02/2023 16:04

Basically there's no point refusing to be a member due to their policies as they need more members to swing those policies

Good grief, Danny-boi. Wipe off that snot from bawling your eyes out AND
Get a fucking grip.

With a more serious hat on, the greens are suffering from a severe lack of older more sensible people.

Many People like those individual in the greens and so they routinely out vote anyone who is more sensible.

I'm in the greens but unable to contribute in an active way due to family commitments. I know of GC people working at all levels and they have to remain v secret.

So anyone who fancies joining would be very welcome simply to try to swing votes. There's been increasing kickback from some brave GC greens who are out. Following certain people on twitter helps to know who to vote for in various votes.

The current Green Party seem to be under a misapprehension as to what the word 'green in their title is supposed to mean. Rather than environmentalism, they seem to be going with this one:
If you say that someone is green, you mean that they have had very little experience of life or a particular job.
He was a young lad, very green, very immature

Soontobe60 · 28/02/2023 15:47

They needs to get themself a good grip! They has made themself a laughing stock of the local council - what an odious man!

People should go into politics because it's all about the people they represent. Not because it's all about them.

“I’ve been informed that I’ve been misrepresenting the councillor,” Mr Vaughan said. “I should have said ‘them’ rather than ‘he’. So I do apologise for that. And I think that’s what affected him, is it? Them, sorry. So my apologies to him. To them. Sorry.”

This is probably my favourite paragraph in a newspaper ever.

Could Mr Vaughan be secretly GC?😁

ReadersD1gest · 28/02/2023 15:04

Another tantrumming toddler, imagining they have anything to add to politics. Ffs 🙄
