Just when you think you've seen it all. Apparently the Department for Education has been contacted for comment:

Drag queen ‘teaches 11-year-olds about anal sex and tells them there are 73 genders’

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/02/27/drag-queen-teaches-11-year-olds-anal-sex-tells-73-genders/

"Sex education has been suspended in Isle of Man schools after a drag queen allegedly told 11-year-olds that there are 73 genders.
The Isle of Man government has launched an independent review of its personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) curriculum after parents raised the alarmm_ about the “graphic, disproportionate, indecent presentation” of sexual acts and different gender identities understood to have been taught in lessons.
Parents of pupils at Queen Elizabeth II High School in Peel, on the Isle of Man, have reported that Year 7 pupils were taught by a drag queenn_ who told them there are 73 genders.
When one “upset” child responded and said “there’s only two”, the drag queen allegedly responded “you’ve upset me” and made the pupil leave the class.
Some 11-year-olds at the school were taught about oral and anal sex, while another group learned about sex change operations and were shown how skin graft taken from a girl’s arm could be used on an artificial penis, according to reports.
“A lot of children are just too traumatised to even talk to their parents," Eliza Cox, vice-chairman of Marown Commissioners, told Energy FM Isle of Man. “As a parent, you don’t know what children are being taught.”
She said that one teacher on the island had told her she had to teach a group of boys and girls in Years 7 and 8 how to masturbate. Another teacher was said to be so uncomfortable with the content of the PSHE curriculum that they told pupils: “Please don’t listen to me” while they taught the lesson."

Teachers are supposed to act 'in loco parentis'....the very first time a teacher was asked to impart ridiculous knowledge that they would not have wanted their own kids to hear, they should have refused and done something appropriate instead...that is their actual safeguarding role.

Completely agree. Professionals should not be put in this stupid position in the first place, but since they have been they absolutely should decline to teach inappropriate material. The responses of these teachers are weak.

I think that this weakness is partly cultural in our public institutions generally; the "correct views" are selected for and groupthink nurtured within education, the nhs, civil service, bbc etc. But when it comes to working with vulnerable people and issues of safeguarding you need dissenters and people with moral courage.

Tekkentime · 27/02/2023 19:39

This will just have parents opting their kids out of sex education, (and for some, school altogether) it's very short-sighted because more kids will not get basic sex-ed now.

Sharpbridge · 27/02/2023 19:38

The government needs to introduce hefty fines for schools that teach lies and/or traumatic material to primary age children.

Nothing else will stop it. Too many activists have campaigned too aggressively and too successfully for their ‘right’ to enter schools and groom children into their world of kink.

wonderstuff · 27/02/2023 19:27

Christ! I’d like to think if this was my school I’d be refusing to take part and making my feelings known, but I’m old and grumpy now, we know that most people feel obliged to do as they are instructed by their managers. It has to stop somewhere, even that drag name is highly offensive.

Boiledbeetle · 27/02/2023 19:25

The whole thing is appalling.

The grown up throwing a kid out for telling the truth needs shutting down immediately.

And

No teacher in any school anywhere should be teaching children how to masturbate. EVER!

Adults have obviously felt afraid to say "no" to this. So it's left up to an 11 year old child. Ffs.

Yes. My point earlier about 'I was only obeying orders'.
It really won't wash this total safeguarding fail from a professionals who should know better.

73 is an odd number. Perhaps he is a radio ham.

I know Aida's been reading stories. But he didn't actually try to teach a class did he?

I don't think Sab has been into schools. He's making his money from local authorities paying him to read stories to small children in libraries.

I think it's all part of a continuum. I don't think DQ belong anywhere near children full stop. Whether that's at events that their parents take them to or schools which are acting in loco parentis.

It is queer theory dressed up in sparkly jumpsuit with a stiffie and it belongs nowhere near children in any context. Not ever.

Why are drag queens every bloody where these days? TV, ads, schools. They seem to be the definitive representatives of the "LGBTQIA+ community", the symbol of diversity and inclusion, and drag queen story time is absolutely everywhere. Who did this and how?

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll has the answer:

Isn't it interesting how so many things that could be taught to a child by a boring old 'standard' man or woman would be very clearly seen as obvious grooming; but when a 'different' kind of person does it, nobody is allowed to question it and suggest there's anything wrong at all?

Not all drag queens are paedophiles, obviously, but being perceived as non-threatening and fun is great cover for those who are.

Jackiebrambles · 27/02/2023 19:09

Careful now, we all know that drag queens are allowed to do whatever the hell they like and we are just a bunch of old right wing bigots. Sex education is a sensible transition from story time.

stripedsox · 27/02/2023 19:07

Drag queens can fuck off full stop.

Musomama1 · 27/02/2023 19:06

Please tell me this is a joke.

Didn't actually have sex education at all at any of my schools. Kind of thinking this might be the best policy after all...

😂😂

But also not funny at all.

Brilliant!

the anal sex and 73 gender part though - WTF? Horrific.

SinnerBoy · 27/02/2023 18:27

I hope the parents make a complaint and that every teacher involved is disciplined. There is absolutely now way that things like this should be happening anywhere, let alone in schools.

Don’t blame the teachers! Ffs.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 27/02/2023 19:01

Actually, in proclaiming that there are 73 genders, this person is actually being (relatively) old-fashioned and non-inclusive, if you take it to its logical conclusion.

It's as clear as day now that people are using 'gender' as a synonym for 'individuality'. In the 'old days', we used to use our own names to signify and define our own individuality, but with the modern newthink, everybody who buys into it has to carve out a 'gender identity' that's pretty much unique to them (whilst, ironically, often rejecting their actual name).

Therefore - considering that nobody seems able to agree on whether sex and gender mean the same thing or not: it seems that they do when it suits the woke lot, but they magically don't when that produces uncomfortable and impossible facts for them to overcome and explain away - there are either two genders or there are something like 8 billion genders (and increasing all the time).

Whichever way you cut it, categorically stating that there are 73 marks you out as an intolerant, uninclusive bigot and most unequivocally does not give you the moral high ground to be berating people who disagree with you.

themonkeysnuts · 27/02/2023 18:58

FFS
what the fuck is going on, so much wrong with this stupid fucking idea

Kittlbua · 27/02/2023 18:55

It's an absolute disgrace.
Sex education must be age appropriate and should be delivered by properly trained teachers or school nurses (if available) or other appropriate people, eg. from external providers, but not by a drag queen with their own agenda.
An 11 year old does not need to know about anal and oral sex.
An 11 year old does not need to know about gender reassignment surgery.
It's outrageous.
It's traumatizing and damaging to the children and does not lead to a healthy attitude to sex.

mumda · 27/02/2023 18:55

Isn’t that the person who performs under the name Aida H Dee & who in several photos seems to be erect while performing to kids - it’s the excitement of education, clearly.
There’s a children’s book out authored by this person about Pride. Various people have claimed that the cover incorporates a paedophile symbol.

Yes, it is Aida H Dee.
