KJK seems to have an ongoing beef with same sex couples having fertility treatment. Why? How is this benefiting women's rights?

Is is definitely not benefiting lesbian rights.

It also appears to be attracting all the homophobes on Twitter.

If I remember rightly, the original police call said she had been homophobic. So this fits right into the TRA playbook of manipulating evidence to make it look like 'homophobia' in order to be referenced in some way.

It really is a vile manipulation and harassment that I'd suggest might need to be investigated in itself.

Yes,I'm almost certain that the caller mentioned something like 'a homophobic slur'.

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 23/02/2023 08:47

I know you haven’t actually said that

but what im reading between the lines of your unposted thoughts is…..

SapphosRock · 23/02/2023 08:37

Oh stop with the conspiracy theories.

Pointing out a Tweet has anti lesbian undertones does not equate to reporting the Tweeter to the police for homophobia.

No, i hope its not that but its a suggestion

wee bit like the suggestion that posters on here are homophobic for agreeing with that tweet and that the entire board thinks that lesbians should lie back and think of england

Cailleach1 · 23/02/2023 08:44

Yes, it is deceitful and spiteful. It is so stupid though, nobody with a functioning braincell, would fail to see it for what it is.

NotHavingIt · 23/02/2023 08:43

Regardless of the rights or wrongs, or any other issue surrounding fertility, same sex couples, or surrogacy I'm not at all sure that this new campaign strand is at all helpful when it come sto the primary objective of pushing back on gender ideology. It will, inevitably, fuel homophobic accusation and will also play into religious right associations.

Maybe Posie's biggest audienece, and biggest impact, going forward may well be in the U.S - where she has already made a bit of a name for herself. And it is in the U.S where the tide needs most to be turned.

Boiledbeetle · 23/02/2023 08:43

I know someone will shout 'Having a child is not a right!' But I don't hear them shouting that to the straight women on the IVF board.

Probably because most of the people who think this have better ways to spend their time than going on the IVF board to harangue people who have a different opinion to them knowing that to do so would just needlessly upset a lot of people.

I don't think anyone actually said that did they? But it's an interesting suggestion.

I want to support the woman....

Yet more dishonesty from you Sapphos. You don't have to like her so there is no need to lie about it. Your repeated attempts to smear KJK are very transparent.

WildIris · 23/02/2023 08:30

AlisonDonut · 23/02/2023 08:23

I suspect that Sapphos might have been challenged to do something public to show her TRA partner that she still believes KJK is the devil and this is all that she has.

Yep.

What irritates me is that Sapphos loves to demonise women she doesn’t like (usually with lies, as is evidenced on this thread) but fails to mention that her wife is a fully paid up member of the rabid trans activist brigade!

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 23/02/2023 08:29

That's one possibility, either that or it's hoping the Police, Google.

Cailleach1 · 23/02/2023 08:29

That is anti LGBT and anti lesbian for the reasons I have outlined

No, the most you can say is that you believe/think (or are trying to posit your claim) that two people of the same sex (who may very well be perfectly fecund and fertile) are infertile if they cannot reproduce naturally with each other. In no way is that reason.

As someone wiser said (roughly) 'the earth is still elliptical even if you believe/claim it is flat.

I want to support the woman but when she Tweets that lesbians trying to procreate is not a fertility issue she is claiming lesbians should not have access to state funded fertility treatment.

That's about the most mendacious statement you've ever typed on here and there's some stiff competition

TinselAngel · 23/02/2023 08:22

I want to support the woman
Sappho that is simply not true as anybody with a memory or an advanced search ability knows.

You would be spurned by your Brighton soc fem friends if you supported KJK. They've even written a webpage about how much they hate her FFS.

Reddahlias · 23/02/2023 08:21

when she Tweets that lesbians trying to procreate is not a fertility issue she is claiming lesbians should not have access to state funded fertility treatment.

But she's right - it's not a fertility issue. Do you not understand this?

Sausagenbacon · 23/02/2023 08:21

when she Tweets that lesbians trying to procreate is not a fertility issue she is claiming lesbians should not have access to state funded fertility treatment
Is she directly claiming that? I didn't see it.
Or are you making assumptions?
And fwiw I don't think anyone should have access to state funded fertility treatment.

SapphosRock · 23/02/2023 08:15

Sausagenbacon · 23/02/2023 08:02

So, for clarity, what is the issue you want to discuss on here sappho?
Kjk and her supposed faults
Or state policy on infertility treatment?
Because it seems to me that, because everybody has seen through your attempt to slur kjk, you've moved the goalposts.

do you have any idea about the invasive and sometimes very painful tests those couples have to go though to prove they are infertile before they will even be considered for treatment. And if they are proved to be fertile they are refused. Is that what you want for lesbians? And if the lesbian is assessed to be fertile and refused? Are you saying lesbians should be treated any different from heterosexual people? Why?

This is what true fertility treatment is about

It is offered to people whose reproductive system does not work properly

We can’t expect the state to supply other people’s gametes to us though. That’s dystopian.

Straight people do get this on the NHS. Donor insemination is funded for straight couples with male factor infertility.

Not if the reason for not conceiving is not having sex! You cannot just rock up and demand someone inserts a random man's sperm into your uterus.

Just stop it. Or get this thread deleted and apologise.

Yes, but only when the following conditions have been met:

•	they've been trying to get pregnant through regular unprotected sex for 2 years
•	they've not been able to get pregnant after 12 cycles of artificial insemination, with at least 6 of the cycles using a method called intrauterine insemination (IUI))_

Given a lesbian couple doesn't have to meet the first of those two conditions, you could argue that the barrier to IVF on the NHS is lower for lesbians than for straight couples.

Neither should! It’s not a homosexual/heterosexual thing it’s a no one should expect to access someone else’s gametes thing.

You are so determined to make KJK look like a bigot you are making no sense
