True, true. There are precious few politicians willing to stick up for the rapists in women's jails.

And even fewer female politicians who would stick up for them. She’s a disgrace.

OneOfThoseOldFashionedWomen · 15/02/2023 11:03

What was written on the BBC reporters note book that he held up to the camera?

littlbrowndog · 15/02/2023 11:03

RealFeminist · 15/02/2023 10:57

DINNAE FORGET THE BABY BOXES YOUS

🤣🤣❤️

MarshaBradyo · 15/02/2023 11:03

Well there you go. Gender politics takes another out

Bitofhelpoverhere · 15/02/2023 11:02

I wonder why, from her point of view. I mean she is very popular in Scotland during covid even amongst Unionist voters I knew. I think she generally still is.

I wonder if she is genuinely fed up of all the pressure and internal debates.

Maybe she realizes she has not succeeded on all the big issues in Scotland, health, education and so on.

Maybe not being able to answer basic questions about the rapist in women’s prisons has causes her to rethink how she ended up like that- but I doubt it!

OneOfThoseOldFashionedWomen · 15/02/2023 11:02

Someone on the SNP making it clear that the GRR Bill was voted through by Greens, Labour and some Cons. He claims she isn't leaving because of the 'trans issue'

I'm meant to be at work, currently stuck to the sofa waiting for the PC.

ArrrMeHearties · 15/02/2023 11:02

I did like nicola sturgeon at one point not going to lie but some of her policies had me thinking wtaf are you doing? The whole trans prisoners fiasco has ultimately been her undoing

Ohyoudodoyou · 15/02/2023 11:01

Perhaps her successor will heed the warnings from
The Terven!!!

BigMacExtraPickles · 15/02/2023 10:59

FUUUUUUCK YAAAASSSSSSSS

Rainbowshit · 15/02/2023 10:59

Kate Forbes would be our best hope for sense on the GRR issue. Not sure she's got enough backing within the party.

Hoping we can move on from the cult of personality that's been gripping Scottish politics for the last decade or so.

Sometimeslwonder · 15/02/2023 10:59

Delighted that traitor of women and girls is gone.

CharlotteSometimes1 · 15/02/2023 10:58

David Lammy of all people is hosting LBC this morning, I’d call in, but am at work.

ArcaneWireless · 15/02/2023 10:58

Although @HufflepuffRavenclaw put it far better than I did.

RealFeminist · 15/02/2023 10:57

DINNAE FORGET THE BABY BOXES YOUS

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 15/02/2023 10:56

At last. Can't wait to hear her excuses

KEIR AHM TELLIN YE - LISTEN TO WOMEN THEY WINNAE FUCKING WHEESHT AND AHVE HUD ENOUGH

GrinGin

ArcaneWireless · 15/02/2023 10:56

She louped afore she was shoved aff the campaign bus.

Hopefully her successor will encourage everyone to actually listen to the people of Scotland instead of marching on with their own agenda.

I can’t help feel there is something more to emerge.

I don’t think that the ‘had enough’ thing being touted is entirely accurate.

Maybe one day I will be proud enough to describe myself as Scottish again.

Kernackered · 15/02/2023 10:55

RealFeminist · 15/02/2023 10:19

KEIR AHM TELLIN YE - LISTEN TO WOMEN THEY WINNAE FUCKING WHEESHT AND AHVE HUD ENOUGH

Absofuckinglutely.

Genuinely, I think she just peaked. But hasn't sorted it all out in her head enough yet to graciously back track and set everything straight for gc feminism. Cowards way out but at least she's cone to sense now.

FannyCann · 15/02/2023 10:54

Chrysanthemum5 · 15/02/2023 10:12

So many things she could be resigning over:
The GRR bill
Transwomen in women's prisons
The bottle deposit fiasco
The decline in educational achievement under her Government
The huge drug problem and drug deaths under her Government
The ferries
The 'loss' of money donated for an independence referendum

And that's just the list I can think of immediately. Her legacy is so poor, and I think that will hurt her more than anything else ever could

Ah but she got free period products for all.
Shame about councils putting a man in charge of explaining them to women and teenagers.

ArabellaScott · 15/02/2023 10:54

That is not a list that is going to cheer anyone up, tbh.

littlbrowndog · 15/02/2023 10:54

Telly going on now

littlbrowndog · 15/02/2023 10:54

Jeez not Robertson

TerfIngOnTheBeach · 15/02/2023 10:53

I do wonder if she will be able to confirm what a woman is now?

ArabellaScott · 15/02/2023 10:53

Faffertea · 15/02/2023 10:52

@ArabellaScott
and those better informed than me on Scottish politics is there any chance for Joanna Cherry or Ash Regan in this?

Cherry is an MP, not eligible.
Ash Regan seems unlikely.

'Betting odds on oddschecker for the next first minister of Scotland.

Angus Robertson - 6/4
Kate Forbes 11/2
Humza Yousaf - 10/1
Keith Brown - 10/1
John Swinney - 10/1.'

ScissorsPaperStone · 15/02/2023 10:52

HufflepuffRavenclaw · 15/02/2023 10:31

Delighted. Absolutely FUCKING DELIGHTED. This woman has destroyed my country, her and her wee cronies.

This. Absolutely this.

Her and her cronies' ineptitude, powered by sanctimony and grudge, has brought Scotland to its knees.
