Periods don't care what gender you feel like. That doesn't "make periods genderless". That makes gender-feelings irrelevant when determining who has periods or not. 🤷‍♀️

I mean, I rarely have conversations about menstruation. What’s there to say? What’s there to leave someone out of?

I might say “aah me period pains are gripping me” and if a woman who identifies as non-binary, or a man responded “ooh yeah, mine were pretty brutal last week” - I wouldn’t say “sorry, but this conversation is only for women who don’t identify as something else”, I’d say “really? Were you alright?”.

Such tedious, made-up barrel-scraping for gripes.

This last few days, there has been a video circulating, of a woman construction worker, telling Dylan the dweeb, a few home truths. It needs to be seen by as many of the mentally afflicted as possible, imo.
The video has been shown by a number of commentators that i've seen but i think her channel name is peridot eyes, iirc.
The burns are so hot, that you can feel them on this side of the pond, lol.

Well of course identities have got naff all to do with who gets periods or not. That would down to whether someone is female or not. Oscar is female, regardless of how Oscar prefers to present and identify. I have no idea why someone's presentation and identity is relevant to discussions in general about periods. I'm sure Oscar has some specific issues dealing with Oscar's sexed reality when it clashes with Oscar's beliefs.

No, Oscar’s right, periods are genderless. In fact, when you think about it everything is genderless - whatever it is, there will be people of all genders and none doing/thinking/wearing it….

Sex on the other hand - yep that’s binary and immutable. So an altogether more useful concept, no?

Periods are indeed genderless.

Female is not a gender. It is a sex. It means the sex which bears offspring, the same as it does in all other mammals.

Gender is just some made up regressive stereotypes which have no place in the 21st century.

What a load of meaninglesss word salad. I'd love to gift those identifying into the female gender the shockingly awful periods I have suffered for more than 30 years but unfortunately they are tied to my female-sexed body. 🙄

It's a sexed thing.

It has only ever happened to female bodies. If it does not happen, a doctor will have been involved. Whether or not the female person chooses to enact other beliefs about their sex is wholly irrelevant to the reality.

Sex is binary. The female sex menstruate, fgs get over it.
