Spades out for Keep Prisons Single Sex?

EmpressaurusOfWitchesBackFromTheDead · 05/02/2023 06:41

Keep Prisons Single Sex needs veg to keep it going and it’s especially important now, when people are finally taking notice of what’s happening in prisons.

The page comes up on a search for crowdfunder fighting for women in prison. Can anyone spare some carrots?

Another one.

Canada has a particularly appalling record on this.

It’s genuinely horrific, what they’re doing over there in the name of being “inclusive”. Safeguarding has just been completely abandoned when there’s any clash with men’s rights to assume a “female” identity.

I’m just hoping the Adam Graham case has some impact worldwide, and more Canadians start waking up to what’s going on in their own wonderful, “progressive” land.

Since Raab’s announcement, it feels like things are moving in the right direction in England and Wales at least, thanks in no small part to the dedicated campaigning of KPSS. Still a long way to go before we get all males out of female jails though, and every bit of tilling the soil helps!

I am absolutely useless at gardening but I managed to get some mustard and cress going.

Taswama · 14/02/2023 19:00

Placemarking for later gardening.

Sprinkled some seeds. They are 77% germinated.

Yes, they're looking promising but still a bit to go before they're in full bloom...

I've done some gardening too.

VictorStrand · 14/02/2023 18:25

Thanks for the reminder. I did some gardening.

No it’s not there yet at all!! Please don’t post something like this without being absolutely sure in case you inadvertently discourage people from digging, if they think it’s all done.

I think you must have clicked on an old link, not the current one, as this one is standing at 75%. But good on you for planting!

More spades still very much needed and appreciated folks!!

Saturday night BUMP!

Ooops sorry. Unintended consequences. It was what came up on my search. I am sad my money did not go towards the target.

RoaringtoLangClegintheDark · 13/02/2023 13:08

Doing The Bump again 🎶 🎶

(I think of this as an in-joke I have with myself, seeing as nobody else thinks it’s at all funny - or possibly has no idea what the Bump even was)

NonnyMouse1337 · 12/02/2023 15:03

Bumping for carrots! 🐰

RoaringtoLangClegintheDark · 11/02/2023 22:20

And thank you!

RoaringtoLangClegintheDark · 11/02/2023 22:20

Code words are just a handy gardening analogy, to stop the thread being evicted! And if you google “keep prisons crowdfunder 2023” the first hit should be the right one.

(Am I allowed to say that?!)

garlickybuns · 11/02/2023 22:15

Would like to help. Im a bit tired and can’t follow all the secret words in these posts and keep getting old crowdfunders! Help!

RoaringtoLangClegintheDark · 11/02/2023 22:01

👍🏻 😊

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 11/02/2023 21:55

Planted. It's getting there! 75% and counting.

RoaringtoLangClegintheDark · 11/02/2023 21:54

See, with gardening you really need to keep some things separate to enable them to thrive… I don't care how well you tuck your two jersey royals and chantenay carrot - stay where you belong.

Wise words indeed - well said, that woman! Grin

Just went to donate and it looks like they've reached the crowdfunder target, which is great. But you can also donate direct on their website. They have a donate button. Just planted.

See, with gardening you really need to keep some things separate to enable them to thrive (or in the case of our plants who need some more help. rehab). I don't care how well you tuck your two jersey royals and chantenay carrot - stay where you belong. Seeds of hope sprinkled....
