The main source to this story is the Daily Mail:

The firm also made a T-shirt designed by Ms Keen and worn by JK Rowling which described First Minister Nicola Sturgeon as a 'Destroyer of women's rights' over the controversial Gender Recognition Act.

But now the company - who has accepted £75,000 of orders from the cause - now says they are 'offensive material'.

Incidentally for anyone new to this tangled mess,

This 'LGBT' event being discussed (Pride) is no longer a celebration of and visibility of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans.

As you can see from the posts here: 'LGBT event' now means nothing more than 'people compliant to the T ideology'.

They've thrown out the LGBT people who aren't obedient to this, particularly the homosexual ones who won't repent and learn to be bisexual. It's basically now a political party's works outing.

the seemingly mortal sin of (gasp) wearing a t-shirt and hat which had the LGBA logo on it
So a guy went to a Pride event for LGBT people sporting a t-shirt and hat with a logo from an organisation that excludes the T part of LGBT?
Darn, can't imagine why he didn't feel welcome at an LGBT event then, that's a bit of a head scratcher!

Nah, it's easy. The sin is saying that he won't have sex with a female who internally believes that they are male.

Because he's homosexual. His sin is seeing sex.

And T people, yes, believe homosexual people should be excluded from a celebration of homosexuality for the sin of wanting to have a sexual orientation based on sex, instead of validating T people with their body.

There is no capacity apparently in the T to tolerate this as they happily tolerate all kinks and fetishes. This is a heresy for which they have taken over Pride and thrown out the original group.

For refusing to do straight sex on command.

NeighbourhoodWatchPotholeDivision · 04/02/2023 18:44

Dana Rivers was a trans-identifying male participant at Camp Trans, the protest to end Mich Fest, the women's only festival. Dana Rivers was a qualified teacher, and was featured on magazine covers, and platformed by Oprah.

This should be the profile of a man who had too much to lose from escalating to physical violence against non-compliant women.

In fact, he went to the house of two women involved in organising Mich Fest and he brutally stabbed them and one of their sons. He murdered three people

I recommend you read this. It does contain highly distressing information. mandystadtmiller.substack.com/p/rabbitholed-78-dana-rivers-is-the

well, Tukmgru's delightful leaving post seems to have been deleted so bbb might have difficulty.

lol @Boiledbeetle i think you may have a very good point ;-)

What annoys me about people like that, is the brass necked cheek, that they think they have a right to lay the law down and tell other people, ( who are in actual fact, quite able to choose for themselves who they wish to associate with, or support ) what they can do.
Well, I'll do me thanks, they can do them! I've been round the block too many times to allow myself to be dictated to by anyone, let alone an anonymous random on a message board!

@CryInToYourCornflakesNicola That is truly horrific. And exactly what I meant. TRAs claim that GC women are aggressive but I've never seen anything equivalent to those posts. The TRAs seem to have been very good at making assertions that don't always stand up to examination, but these assertions are repeated so often that many people start to believe them.

Im not certain but I dont think terfisaslur is updated now. There have been many many more instances of vile misogyny, death threats, rape threats etc. I believe we are mostly inured now, we generally take the piss of these now.

Its honestly why I'm here so often, every day a new threat, every day someone hilariously refutes it. If only I was as witty as some if these women.

If anyone wishes to believe something that probably sends up a red flag in their mind without due diligence, that's on them. It's not overly difficult to think hang on if trans people are very likely to be assaulted in "say" mens toilets* , why isnt there an outcry, why haven't the newspapers published reports, how come I have never ever heard of one single instance of this happening?

*pick from a choice of things trans people say happen to them on a regular basis.

SinnerBoy · 04/02/2023 18:32

Rendell · Today 17:47

... much like no one truely believes that anti-captitalists want to 'eat the rich' or TRAs want to 'decapitate TERFs' now.

Really? When women have been assaulted by TRA zealots, in public, as the Police stand by, scratching their arses, or threatening to arrest the victim, if she didn't piss off? All of the credible threats of rape and violence? Blockading JKR's home and trying to target her kids? Having women sacked, by making false claims of bigotry?

Etc etc.

What would lead you to conclude that some of them don't want to kill some women?

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 04/02/2023 18:29

Without minimising the reality that these voices do exist, they are not gender critical feminist voices. They are not speaking for me. I utterly reject them, as I would hope, and very much wish to see, trans and TRA voices rejecting the violence and threats made to GC women

absolutely

i also would be interested in the definition of GC used by some posters…

queencactus · 04/02/2023 18:27

Yes, thank you for posting that. I have not seen anything similar to that before but this may be because I wouldn't be attracted to those particular sites. I have an aversion to any threats of violence and aggression and wouldn't support threats made against the trans community.

As with @FlirtsWithRhinos I would question if these people were GC. It still remains my view that in Scotland I have not witnessed aggression from GC women whereas there has been from TRA supporters.

I'm glad you posted this. It is important to remember that there are people who are genuinely anti trans, and that the reason so many trans people and TRAs take such an absolutist view about not engaging with GC views in good faith is because they see stuff like this online.

Genuine question: have any trans people or TRAs said anything about the "decapitate TERFs" sign?

Re the sign that had a drawing of a guillotine on it? I addressed this on the other thread and acknowledged it isn't appropriate or helpful.

I'm not so sure that some TRAs wouldn't want to kill GC feminists if they had the opportunity. JKR mentioned that she had enough death threats to paper a room. Joanna Cherry is in court soon to give evidence about personal threats she received, although may have been for rape rather than murder.

I agree

Waitwhat23 · 04/02/2023 17:46

Going with your reasoning, then any 'Trans Pride' signs or similar should have similarly been ejected? Given they didn't mention the rest of the alphabet.

It's such a bizarre thing that it's seemingly totally fine with TRA's for specific, specialised groups, services, mottos etc to exist for trans people but the mere idea of similar groups for people who share the common characteristic of being same sex (or same and opposite sex) attracted is just totally unacceptable.

Went down a bit of a rabbit hole looking for the source of that short clip (having been very confused as to why a less than 30 second clip was given as some sort of response).

The clip comes from a much longer documentary by the BBC, part of a series of documentaries called Lefties. This episode was called 'Angry Wimmen' and talks about the rage felt by radical feminists in the 1970/1980's. The clip is available in full on the reddit/mensrights (somewhat unsurprisingly) and also seems to be on YouTube.

Haven't had a chance to watch in full but will later to find out the context of the badges mentioned.

That's the one 👍, it's a good documentary and worth a watch.

Of course no one truely believed that radfems wanted to 'kill all men' back then, much like no one truely believes that anti-captitalists want to 'eat the rich' or TRAs want to 'decapitate TERFs' now.

I haven't seen that Julie Bindell clip before and would be interested in the context. In general though, it is my impression that the TRAs threaten violence and aggression and the GC supporters don't. At a recent event in Glasgow TRA supporters had a sign threatening women with decapitation. I haven't seen anything equivalent at GC events. It will be interesting to see what threats the TRAs make tomorrow. They may say that they receive threats of violence and aggression from women but I don't seen any substance to their claims. The violence and aggression only appears to flow in one direction.

Am I missing something? Which trolls (plural) did you mean? When you wrote this post there was one response that didn’t necessarily wholeheartedly agree with you but was probably correct about the legalities. It was neither rude, unpleasant or even false. How can there ever be reasoned discussion with this kind of hyperbolic reaction?

I am still finding my way on the gender debate. I am certainly troubled by a lot of the things happening in the name of trans rights, particularly the erasure of women’s rights and safe spaces. I will of course be informed by the facts not people’s behavior. But the knee-jerk vitriol on BOTH sides drowns out the merits of the argument. Can you really say with a straight face that ALL of the negativity and offensive behavior comes from trans rights supporters? Reading this board for 5 minutes completely disproves that. I know it’s an emotive issue but I think a lot of people are put off by how nasty both sides have gotten. If either side could manage to take the high road —honestly— they would probably get a lot more buy-in from the general public who don’t think too hard about this stuff.

I guess this makes me a troll too?

<changes back to normal username to avoid being hounded as I have seen happen to others on here who speak out of line>

Always love the both sides argument. Then I get to roll out this link

terfisaslur.com/

And ask , usually without a reply, where exactly have you seen cunty type women making these kind of threats?

Its always illuminating.
