JKR bullying IW?

I doubt that very much. In fact I’d stake everything I own on it.

As a person who has been bullied I resent the term being flung about the minute the truth starts to nip at someone’s sensibilities.

India is one of the transpeople JK Rowling has been bullying on Twitter I see.

You don't half write a load of old rubbish. Rowling has never bullied anyone, you are actually defaming her. Disagreeing and pointing out logical and scientific fallacies isn't bullying.

WallaceinAnderland · 02/02/2023 12:24

India is one of the transpeople saying that males are more 'woman' than females.

I really hope IW explains more about this on TV haha

Lol at this. Jkr doesn't bully anyone. India on the other hand, does.

India is a Twitter troll.
(I mean she can’t seriously believe half of the stuff she posts. Can she?)

U.S. / Canadian, Indian fans have already asked her where they can watch and how they can support and contribute.

If 10.30 is too late, it’s on the RED BUTTON at 8pm.

The QT Twitter account usually posts the question, during the 8pm broadcast, so you can get in early on that if you want.

BBC will probably still avoid any difficult questions. I won’t be watching as I can’t bear India

I just hope it steers people to India's Twitter account, and all their other 'interviews', and especially that Big Brother scene.

Sorry Datun, was typing when you posted. You said it better, as ever!

It's amazing though isn't it

I predict India will use this as an opportunity to further India's own agenda, the 'I'm not like other TRAs' line.

Exactly.

It all depends on which TRA is speaking, as to exactly how severe the gatekeeping they maintain shouldn't happen, should be.

India will maintain it's all down to the way they look, and the surgery they've had. Others claim it has to be because of a GRC and surgery is irrelevant. Still more say it's because they have been saying they are a woman for donkeys years, longevity innit.

It really is extraordinary how people expect women to agree that the definition of a woman is a man who's had surgery, or a man with a piece of paper, or a man who's been saying he's a woman for boringly long time.

I often think of Jan Morris and how they were always held up as a shining example of benign transwomanhood, who turned out to be a narcissistic control freak who abused their family.

There are meant to be hordes of transwomen who are perfectly delightful. We hear about them all the time. It's a shame none of those ever step up.

Wow, Ella Whelan is on as well, she's excellent.

She certainly is.

@Violetparis thanks for the link.

LaughingPriest · 02/02/2023 11:40

Ignore the resident defender of racism - Marg doesn't even know if trans women are female or male, but just comes on here to make noises.

TBF Question Time has had Nick Griffin on before, so why shouldn't they have Willoughby on there?

JoodyBlue · 02/02/2023 11:08

*Ella - so sorry, I always mistype her name!! :(

Ellan Whelan gives me hope. She is brilliant.

JoodyBlue · 02/02/2023 11:05

Oh and TERFS are the BNP of the trans world apparently. So I wonder if Sturgeon was listening to this podcast for her research!!😒

JoodyBlue · 02/02/2023 11:03

I've just relistened to India's 2019 interview with @Triggerpod

It is remarkable how India's presentation of the issues has changed in less than 4 years.

In the interview India does not support self ID. India talks about learning to be a man and do men's things due to discomfort in the way men should be - in other words, indirectly cites the sexism behind gender dysphoria. India does not support trans in elite sport in this interview. India also talks of hormone washing in the womb. Finally, uses the idea that transition is difficult process which is not easy to attain as an argument to support the seriousness of the "condition".

Also fascinating is the response of Francis and Konstantin here. They want to be nice guys, they do not challenge coherently, but respond entirely emotionally, and then sign off by saying it is the best interview they had to date, having spoken to 50 people on the subject.

Subsequently we know they became more analytical.

But a fascinating watch - 3 men talking about what it is to be a woman. Not a woman in sight. www.google.com/search?q=triggernometry+india+willoughby&oq=triggernometry+india+willoughby&aqs=chrome..69i57.7171j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:3da89e2a,vid:jWuNG5tXNS4

LaughingPriest · 02/02/2023 11:01

Disappointed they want to broadcast a racist's opinion - hope they challenge India on that. Not the brightest bulb in the box either.
