I have woken up with a real fear for Yellow blouse Woman's safety.

I really hope that I'm wrong, but I have a premonition that they will hunt her down, go through her social media, find her employer or her children and try to get her ostracised and branded a transphobe.

Or worse. 😞

picklemewalnuts · 03/02/2023 07:20

Love the Twitter lady's giggle!

Thank you for this. I love this woman. Watching her again, you see how confrontational and manipulative IW is. Keeps interrupting her and talking over her (she perseveres) and interjects with “Well what you’re saying there, is that you think transwomen are men..”

And she answers “In my opinion they still are men.”

That was so strong.

It makes such a difference to say man/men. A line in the sand.

Maybe IW will ‘let that really penetrate’ now.

No one believes men are women.

Time to free up that self-perception and ego from reliance on what others think.

Men are free to get surgery and take drugs, to make themselves resemble women a bit more, although, in my opinion, it is not wise or healthy. They are free to wear clothes designed and cut for women and wear make up.

But they can’t make others perceive them as anything other than what they are - men who may have been surgically altered, wearing clothes normally associated with women.

If that causes them inconvenience in their daily life, for example, confusion over which toilet or changing room to go into - either the one which they hanker for, but are prohibited from (it violates opposite sex boundaries, and would be breaking the ‘social contract’ to use), or the one they belong in, with their own sex (where they may be embarrassed if they catch eyes with a fellow man whose look says “I see what you’re up to mate”), then they need to find a way to manage it. It is their own responsibility, it certainly isn’t women’s responsibility and is definitely no excuse for violating women’s boundaries.

It’s my personal belief that happiness can only be found by accepting ourselves (and others) as we are, but still recognising the limitless potential in that. Human beings are amazing (actually not just human beings- just about everything is marvellous when you think about it).

Women need, as a base level, to be able to keep the things feminists in the past fought for, to enable our fair participation in society, where we can enjoy equal freedoms with men, so we don’t have to waste so much energy fighting and defending them all over again, and we can get on with living and marvelling at life’s wonders too.

3 cheers for Yellow dress woman and Ella!

I actually can't believe SNP seem to have created a 3rd category of people Male, Female & Rapist.
No thought that a Rapist could be in women's spaces making them uncomfortable, and abusing them before conviction.

This whole thing has to unravel. Well and truly unravel. The tide has to turn.
What are they waiting for a girl to be raped by 'a girl' in school toilets?

Be handy eh? Sex observed at birth- boy, girl, rapist. Could get a wee tattoo.

"I'm so sorry, Mrs Smith. I'm afraid..."

TheClitterati · 03/02/2023 06:59

Has anyone formed a rescue party for the SNP woman yet? I'm quite worried for her.

Thank you!

Brilliant commentary.

I really dislike the way that people have become apologetic for stating biological facts, as if they are a "belief".
eg I "believe" people cannot change sex.

Although I admire anyone who tries to stand up to this horseshit, let's not forget that science is not a belief.
It is a fact.
You cannot opt in and out of it.
You can have your own opinion, you do NOT get to have your own facts.

Hear, hear

God, I wish that India would just be honest and distance herself from perverts like Adam. She has nothing in common with him whatsoever and it's dispiriting that she feels she has to defend a rapist - an actual bloody rapist - because that's the corner that she's allowed herself to get painted into by following this official trans line to its ultimate illogical conclusion.

She's not a stupid person so she must know this, at heart.

She made some really good points on other issues eg about North Sea Oil, which the English bloody robbed from Scotland. And about the millions of private sector workers who also need a +10% pay rise that precious few people in the public eye seem to be talking about.

She was dead right about the obscene profits Amazon makes while tagging workers to monitor how long they spend on the toilet. I mean I know teachers are overworked and underpaid yadda yadda but down the bloody road there are grown men and women having to justify how long they take to piss to an employer that is so rich it could pay all of the people who have any employment activity related to it, whether here or anywhere in the world, £25 an hour and still make a profit and I am really glad she raised this.

Rightsraptor · 03/02/2023 01:40

They usually go for dinner after the show.

I wonder if they did this time.

India has just tweeted that being on QT tonight was like being 'lynched'. Absolutely appalling language and an utter disgrace.

(I'm in the Antipodes and can't get Iplayer [can't sort a VPN out either at the mo because my bank is useless] - is there any way I could see a clip of yellow dress woman? I've already seen the one of magnificent Ella.)

A clip where someone took a video of their tv.

Those studio lights are unforgiving aren't they. IW looked nothing like the filtered pictures usually shown. Jowls, one comically arched eyebrow and a tiny eye. I think the attempts at 'feminising' the face must have gone wrong somewhere.

Anyway, classic DARVO. Completely change the subject of men in women's spaces to <yawn> black women, predatory lesbians (yes, because they're the same as men you know) and the 1970s. Not able to actually explain anything relevant to the topic or even the year we are in. Surprised we didn't get Nazis thrown in as well, as that's a popular one with IW on twitter.

Already happened in America. And the school covered it up.

He was also pictured with a bloody mouth after being beaten and dragged out of a school board meeting where teachers lied about never receiving reports of sex assaults in the girls' toilets.

^The girl's father who tried to complain.

Unsure33 · 03/02/2023 01:04

I get a feeling I might not agree with everything Ella wheelman may have opinions on , but she was great . India was awful , shutting down sensible debate as everyone is bigoted. But that statement “ I am a biological woman” ……. I just hate liars .

zaramysaviour · 03/02/2023 01:02

Apologies, the correct wording is that India compared the audience to a 'lynch mob'. Not any better, of course; I just want to be accurate. Unlike India.

I remember years ago a fairly well known trans woman used to post here a lot, and said that when she had her major reassignment surgery she had to sign a disclaimer saying that she understood that the operation wouldn't actually change her sex.
What's happened to that? Does it no longer happen?

She also couldn't care less about pronouns.

I don't want to name her as she obviously got so much grief she decided to fade from the public eye, but many of you will know who I mean.

Funnily enough, she and Debbie Hayton, who says trans women are men including herself, are the only TW I automatically refer to as she/her with no problem.

Looking forward to watching and shouting at QT tomorrow!

Yes, everything is turned into the personal with India, hence the prison comments that went awry. Confused

I had a look on twitter and I think the tweet India chose for an example was minimising, to say the least.

Thats so personal. That woman was just speaking in the abstract about no one in particular and IW goes nuclear getting personal - turning her skin colour into an insult.

Vicious fool.

miri1985 · 03/02/2023 00:38

In case anyone else like me missed it, heres a great clip on youtube

I can't understand who IW and others didn't understand that this would be the inevitable conclusion of self ID that you are lumped in with rapists and TWAW collapses

OnTheBoardwalk · 02/02/2023 23:37

I'm new to this and I’m loving Ella and I’m sorry I laughed at the 'predatory lesbian' preference

whats all the reference to black people. Ah just watched India's twitter 'explanation'

I haven’t rtft, but I really loved that woman who was saying you can’t change sex, and that she basically admitted she sees IW as a man ‘I wish you no harm’. I thought she was courageous.
