'Scottish Green MSPs will not take part in parliamentary business on Wednesday in solidarity with striking workers. We will not cross virtual or physical picket lines, and hope that others will join us in that.

We will always defend the rights of workers.'

Can't answer any awkward questions if you're not there. I think this is called a tactical retreat. The late great Magdalen Berns might have described it more colourfully

If only they could do the honourable thing and make it permanent.

JamMakingWannaBe · 30/01/2023 23:25

Are they going to donate a lost day's wages, plus both employer and employee pension contribution etc to the trade unions?
Doubt it.

LizzieSiddal · 30/01/2023 23:21

Oh what a great end to a fabulous day😂

GCAcademic · 30/01/2023 23:17

An action that will be welcomed by many, I’m sure. But not for the reasons that the Greens might think.

Merrilydancing · 30/01/2023 23:16

I have no words, didn’t think it was possible for things to get even weirder but here we are!

I love that bit!

Waitwhat23 · 30/01/2023 23:13

I can only imagine that there will be a sizeable proportion of MSP's who will relieved to have a bit of peace from the Green MSP's, to be honest.

So, just as Maggie's trans-women-aren't-rapists chickens come home to roost she runs away?

"Brave, brave, brave, Sir Chapman."

This!

Aw, c'mon you lot. I'm sure they're really sad to be missing out on Questions.
