These people are stark raving mad.

'"This changes on a regular basis but it is my understanding there are no transgender women in the female estate that have violence against women convictions.'

Fucking WHAT?!

We have to push back against the idea that the main issue is rapists in women's prisons. That abomination is great to get people's attention, but it is only the most egregious result of a cruel, misogynistic policy. There should be no males in women's prisons, regardless of identity claims, surgery, the nature of the offence or possession of a GRC. That last one might be controversial with some but in my view, placing males with GRCs in the female estate is the thin end of a wedge. Ideally no male prison staff interacting directly with female inmates either.

Totally agree. No muddying of the waters. Males belong in Mens prisons.

I notice government ministers are now referring to these offenders as 'violent men', so not in fact women then. But surely if they say they're women, then they are? Does violence strip them of womanhood? Ergo, if I punch someone, am I a man and will I be sent to a male prison? - what a feckin mess

Signalbox · 30/01/2023 12:32

Yup. According to Kate Coleman there are still violent TW in the female estate in Scotland so KB’s careful choice of words are completely disingenuous.

So he's possibly technically correct if you word it carefully enough to exclude the prisoner who was violent against a man, and exclude the TW who assaulted young girls not women, and exclude the TW who was just kicked out of the women's estate, and exclude the TW who's just about to be admitted to the women's estate.

Is he half weasel?

I would like to know this: if no one is tracking the TW with GRCs how does he even know if he's technically correct?

They're legally women, so again, he is technically correct. More verbal sleight of hand.

What's with dickie's yellow duster? Is it to signify 'woman'?

Merrymouse · 30/01/2023 12:21

‘Violence against women CONVICTIONS’ is doing a lot of work here.

Maybe they mean that because Dolatowski is CURRENTLY in prison for violence against a man, previous convictions and behaviour aren’t taken into account.

Rather than dealing with the (real) threat of violence in the male estate, and legal action from Dolatowski, it’s just easier to move him to a women’s prison. The right of female prisoners not to be abused doesn’t feature in the calculation. They just have to move over to solve a problem caused by men.

HootyMcboob76 · 30/01/2023 12:19

I want them to categorically come out and say that they would be HAPPY for their own daughters/wives/nieces to share a cell with these prisoners.
Let's hear them say that clearly.

That they would sleep well at night knowing their loved one was sharing a cell and facilities with a violent sexual male offender.

Also...

WHERE THE FUCK are all the TRA apologists on these threads?
Where are you all?

Could it be that even YOU lot know you cannot defend the indefensible?

Let's hear from you!
Seems you don't have much to say on these threads?

TWAW right?

Grimchmas · 30/01/2023 12:16

<Sarcasm font> They're only females, and bad females at that, so it's totally fiiiiine to shove a few dangerous men in there with them, who gives a damn what happens to female prisoners? <End Sarcasm font>

(I reminded myself of the TV show Bad Girls, and wonder how they would have dealt with the issue. Better than the Scottish Govt, probably)

I read on Twitter Dolatowski has been released quite recently.

They're doing slight of hand semantics here based on a narrow current snapshot.

Graham & Scott - moved/transfer on hold due to backlash
Dolatowski - just released so doesn't count
Eastwood - violence was against other men so doesn't count.

'Quick, quick, get the violent paedophiles booted out before the violent murderer gets bussed in ... all done?

What?! He's on the bus here? Okay:

It's so odd than when the "be kind" brigade wang on about "fully transitioned" accountants being no risk and surely there should be exceptions, the SPS are determined to get the most violent offenders into the female estate - zero tolerance to this shite is the only thing that will stop them trying to get this stuff through.

Helleofabore · 30/01/2023 12:09

I think that Scott is a great example of just how that 'assessment' works.

The one we have been told would only ever be done by experts and professions who know their job.

Boiledbeetle · 30/01/2023 12:09

I don't think their bar for what sort of man can be in the female prison estate is set at the right level!

Doesn't matter whether you people in charge think they are a risk. Ask the Fucking women because the answer is EVERY MAN IS A POTENTIAL RISK AND THEREFORE THE ANSWER IS NONE YOU BLOODY MUPPET.

No men in the female estate.

334bu · 30/01/2023 12:08

Strictly speaking Tiffany is still in male prison although transfer was imminent. Also significant he said those convicted of violence against women, because with so many cases of unreported domestic violence, does this mean, if a man is extremely violent to other men but not women , they are safe to be in a female prison🤔

Helleofabore · 30/01/2023 12:08

It is quite something that Scott was once known as 'Mr Almighty'....

He added: "I wouldn't say Mr Almighty was predictable. That wouldn't be the word.

Well, no.

I'm still practising at feministing. Maybe I'll get the hang of it eventually. It's hard remembering that women are people!

Dolatowski. There for two sexual assaults against girls, and deceiving their way into a female refuge with women and children present. (And thumped a male prisoner in the male estate before being moved to the female estate.)

Bryson. Cleared for take off with two rapes of women.

Eastwood: murdered a cell mate. Are we seriously going to try arguing there's no threat because the cell mate wasn't female??

I read on Twitter Dolatowski has been released quite recently.

Helleofabore · 30/01/2023 12:07

The case was initially due to be heard at Alloa earlier this year, but was dropped after an internal report warned Scott was "too dangerous" to be tried in public in the Victorian court house there.

From the daily record article.

Yet .... was approved to go to a female prison..... Let's see that assessment!

NecessaryScene · 30/01/2023 12:06

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 30/01/2023 12:05

Careful choice of words and Andrew Burns is waiting for transfer.

OllyBJolly · 30/01/2023 12:05

It's breathtaking, isn't it?!

They are either totally clueless or they think we're fools.

The issue is reporting. The reason that there are no stats on transgender crime is because they are not recorded. They are treated as if they were women. Which they are not and thank fuck people are beginning to wake up to this now.

MichelleScarn · 30/01/2023 12:05

NecessaryScene · 30/01/2023 12:01

Scott's not in the female estate yet, I guess?

I think this is very much a careful "present tense" formulation - they have been in the past, and we want there to be more in future, but sadly, at the moment, they're a bit short.

Yep! 'Can you please all stop making a fuss and drawing attention to this shit show so we can get on with what we plan to do anyway?!'....
