Excellent afternoon, speakers were great, the TRAs didn't drown out the speakers, nice couple of hours in the pub afterwards and on train home. People are angry and the disgust with Nicola Sturgeon was widespread

Just back from the demo. Initial thoughts, I haven't read all the thread back yet:

  1. We outnumbered the misogynist counter-demo about three to one;
  2. KJK is a really good public speaker;
  3. The "cabaret" was a complete failure, it did not stop or even disturb the SFW event (I suspect the police must have told them to keep the volume down, or they had a really weedy PA system);
  4. It is great to empower ordinary women, many of whom have never spoken to a crowd before, to get up and speak;
  5. The spell is broken. We are not scared of these wee pricks any more.

About the same conclusions watching at home.

Other than to say.. Soooooo jealous!

How many people attended, does anyone know?

I estimate around 120-150 on the TRA side and 400 on the SFW side. But that's just my estimate.

Sweetie, you do realise it was "the transgenders" who were running the counter-protest, and making these threats, don't you? @nilsmousehammer is just reporting what they said.

So, yes, you're quite right that vile and disgusting things were said. By the trans protestors.

It's none of the above, actually, it's all hugely documented and factual. Did you miss the protest, with the MSPs standing next to nutters with "Decapitate TERFs" signs? Or the "Isla" Bryon debacle and MPs & MSPs defending the decision to send him to Cornton Vale women's prison?
