Mark Hamill is a “transphobe” for liking JK’s tweet

PissedOffAmericanWoman · 25/01/2023 15:18

India Whilloughby Made a tweet saying that they are more of a woman than JK Rowling.

JK said “Citation needed”

Mark Hamill liked the tweet. Fans thought it might be an accident. But to their dismay it was not as he liked other tweets in the passed. Not they are sad because they HAVE to cancel him.

It must be exhausting being a TRA. It’s nice to kick back and just enjoy life not worrying about trying to force everyone to think like me. It’s actually a huge relief.

We could debate with them about just how far they can fuck off with that shit 🙂

"See that dot on the horizon? There. Fuck off."

Well put.

I think "winning" is a foolish way to view it. It's not a game.

I'd like to see an end to the brainless "#nodebate" mindset and a willingness from all parties to engage in a grown-up way without the stupid sloganeering or "all or nothing" demands. But that doesn't seem to be the way things work in the public sphere these days.

Sure. Women should debate with men about which rights they should give up. Great idea.

I don’t think posts from Marg can be called a battle of wits.

I meant with the much-missed Magdalen Berns if the former were still alive.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if Magdalen Berns had lived longer than she got.

is have loved to have seen her take on Margarita

I miss her videos

Margarita should know better than to go into a battle of wits unarmed.

What would it take for you to win?

A law preventing transwomen from entering female toilets? Full criminal record searches on all transwomen prior to joining female clubs or societies? Full ban on transwomen using female changing rooms?

What does winning look like?

Loads and loads of posters had some excellent, lawful and completely fair examples for you bagelbagelbagel, what did you think?

Helleofabore · 26/01/2023 03:56

postcardpuffin · 26/01/2023 00:41

And why would you be ashamed of that anyway, Marg, so much so that it needs deleting?

This is a very valid point puffin.

If posters don’t like seeing reminders of what they post, that is an issue for them to work out why. If those reminders are problematic, then posters should more carefully consider what they post. Just as we all do.

Oh I got deleted! For pointing out that @MargaritaPie is also a frequent and enthusiastic defender of the sex industry on these boards. Not sure why this needs deleting - it’s (a) true and (b) easily determined by search history.

None of that. No hoops to jump through, no bar to reach. It's easy peasy.

No men, however they identify, whatever legal fictions have been created for them, no matter what documents they hold, no matter what drugs they've taken, surgery they've had, in women's single sex spaces. None, never ever.

No men in women's sports, even if they take a blood test, even if they wear a swimsuit not trunks, even if they promise to lose. Never, ever.

It is very, very simple. If you are born a biological male, then whatever you do, say, get legally changed, compel other people to go along with, does not make you a biological woman. And in certain circumstances that is what matters. The immutability of sex.

From what I've seen most cis-women don't seem to care about sharing a facility with a transwomen, it's generally gender criticals who make a fuss. There have been cases of gender critical cis women having a go at another cis-woman they incorrectly thought was trans.

Julie Bindel has said she's shouted at cis-women because they didn't object to a transwoman being in the facilities.

So who are the ones causing problems and disturbances?

Stop using c"£ - it is SO offensive. You have been asked and told and you persist.

The inconsistency of your approach makes my eyes roll so hard they see the back of my head.

Helleofabore · 25/01/2023 22:12

bagelbagelbagel · 25/01/2023 19:08

There are gender disparities in crime. There are ethnic disparities in crime. There are socio economic disparities in crime. There are geographical disparities in crime.

Here trans women are guilty until proven innocent. Much more likely to be evil criminals so curb their rights asap before such horrors occur.

Wrong on so many levels. Mainly on just a basic human level.

I think you are missing some major information in your posts.

MALES!

Here you go.

Males are “Much more likely to be evil criminals so curb their rights asap before such horrors occur.”

And yes. It is called safeguarding. And it is done all the time.

Or are you going to the poster who finally links us up to the robust studies and statistics that show that a male who transitions has a lower potential to commit male pattern crime? That of violent crime and sex crimes?

I mean… don’t let the current analysis of the UK prison stats for transgender prisoners and the census data stop you from confidently trying to convince readers otherwise…

You really have put forth a very convincing argument … that you seem to have conveniently forgotten that male people ARE treated as high risk as a category for a reason. And that is all male people.

No special exempt sub groups - ever.

Another person who doesn't know if transwomen are female or not? Surely not two in one thread?!

Quick quick we need to talk about anyone and anything which can distract us from the rapist penis sharing the same space exclusively reserved for women which we just voted as having no evidence of happening!

I hate the rhetoric of winning and losing.

What I would like to see, however:

  • a robust legal definition of transgender
  • adequate facilities and services for women that can be trans exclusive, adequate facilities and services for trans women and adequate facilities and services for women that can be trans inclusive
  • no trans women in women's sports. That's non negotiable, I am afraid. But trans women are welcome in men's sports or to set up leagues and clubs of their own
  • a process by which women and trans women can challenge men who are claiming to be transgender for nefarious reasons in any of the above scenarios without suffering detriment themselves
  • no medical intervention below the age of 22

To start with......

Reading this report now. Some comments, not necessarily narrowly focused on the topics of this thread:

-As misogyny is not even listed among possible types of hate which would be recorded, we have no idea what might have happened to hate crimes against female people over time. No idea at all.

-Most perpetrators (or alleged perpetrators) of hate crime (all of it, not just trans hate crime) in the report (when identifiable) are said to be male, however, so probably not feminists.

-Most victims (or alleged victims) are also said to be male with the exception of the transgender group where more than half of the victims are said to be female.

This is a clear example of the definitions of 'female' and 'male' probably having become mere abstract inner feelings as the odds are pretty good that the female group of victims in the trans hate category consists of trans women. When misogyny data is not collected or recorded at all, it's not surprising that the victims of hate crime tilt towards the male sex.

-The proportion of reported hate crime incidents which happened in the cyberspace varies by type of hate category:
It is 18% for disability, 7% for race, 10% for religion, 13% for sexual orientation, and 27% for transgender identity. So much larger for the last group.

-The total number of recorded hate crime incidents (alleged ones, I think) in the transgender category is 113 in 2020-21. The total number of sexual orientation hate crimes (alleged ones, I think) in 2020-21 is 1675, the total number of race hate crimes is 4303 and so on. It would be interesting to relate these to the sizes of the relevant populations.

I mentioned trying to relate the incidence of hate crimes (or alleged hate crimes) to the sizes of the relevant populations, and I have tried to do that with the sexual orientation and trans crime numbers which are, respectively, 1675 and 113.

The LGB population in Scotland is estimated to be about 2%. The data from the census on trans population doesn't seem to be out yet, but it might be close to the 0.5% census figure from England and Wales.

If people were experiencing hate crime events on the basis of sexual orientation at the same rate as on the basis of transgender status, then we would expect the number of events reported to be roughly in the same four-to-one ratio. This is not the case. The sexual orientation crime rate is roughly fifteen times the transgender hate crime rate.

For me personally: a recognition that gender does not always supersede sex, and a mutually respectful discussion of how to balance the conflict of rights which sometimes arises between natal women and trans women, without the fear of being labelled a bigot or being accused of denying someone’s right to exist etc

It's water running down a plug hole, really. Transwomen aren't going anywhere.

Ahhh. The old ‘you may as well let males have what they want, they will just out wait you’ defense.

Hilarious really.

A). History has never shown these males to not have male crime patterns.

B). The longer this plays out, it shows the motivation clearly that these males have.

I do not think you have thought about this…
