'Sandy Brindley, chief executive of Rape Crisis Scotland, believes it is the first time a trans woman has been convicted of raping women in Scotland.

She said: "If someone has been convicted of a serious sexual offence they should not be held with the general female population."'

But they need to say all sexual offences. There can't be grey areas here. Look how hard it is to get a rape conviction. I guess they did say all types of sex offending but other types came as an add on, which makes it open to interpretation. What is "serious"?? They can't leave it opaque.

So males that rape shouldn't be in a women's prison, but males who "only" commit sexual assault (against children!!) should?

Is it just me or is that not what she said? She said that Bryson (Adam Graham) should not serve in a women's prison. She seems to have her head screwed on, if dangerously unaware of the reality of trans identifying men's crimes.

I'm NOT trying to be an apologist (or an asshole), but many of the men linked to in this thread didn't start to identify as trans until after they were convicted, and Miller was convicted of sexual assault not rape so she seems to be technically correct, that this is the first male identifying as female to have been convicted of rape.

It's only a difficult choice if you treat men's feelings and women's safety as equally important.

Paris Green only murdered someone and when he had sex with women in women's prison there's no suggestion it was non-consensual.
