The make up of those working in the media, TV media in particular, is an issue here. Privilege and nepotism, never had to live in the grubby real world that most of the country does/has, and so can afford to just give away rights they will never need to benefit from - e.g. being safe in a women's prison. Have the value system of the few that occupy the arts/publishing/acting/all the airy fairy bullshit, and don't care about pushing that agenda on the unwilling larger public through the insidious use of propaganda, via what is supposed to be news as well as light entertainment and children's programmes.

I believe she's already answered this in the past, and it's a yes. Female prisoners - females - mean nothing to her. A single trans woman - even a rapist one - is more valuable and vulnerable in her eyes.

I really hope some poor female prison officer isn't made to conduct an intimate body search of a man who is a rapist. I hope the female officers can refuse and can sue for sexual harassment if even asked. I bet their unions wouldn't support them, sadly.

There should be no penis owning prisoners in female prisons, whatever gender they decide they are that day and I firmly believe everyone should be prosecuted and punished as the gender they were when the crime was committed.

Isn't this related to the right to be forgotten/deadnaming type arguments - that post transition, they not only change sex, but become a wholly new person, and cannot therefore be responsible for the crimes of the "dead" person?
