India Willoughby: I am more of a woman than JK Rowling will ever be

India has stated this on Twitter.

Doesn't it tell us a lot about how genderism rests on social stereotypes? How is India 'more of a woman' than someone born female?

I expect you don't take the antisemitism or racism seriously either.

Lot of casual racism from the trans rights crowd, isn't there?

You'd be wrong then as I do take anti semitism and any racism casual or otherwise seriously.
Talking about a transgender allowance was clearly a joke though, people taking it seriously and thinking it was serious just had me like what?! 😁

Boiled - you seem to have misunderstood, I was talking about and quoting the tweet that seemed to believe that there was a "transgender allowance.
I said that was clearly a joke tweet, it was obvious reading it and the replies

I pressed post to soon there was another post directly underneath.

So tired of some posters trying to minimise all this shit.

FruitTwistandShake · 23/01/2023 16:25

I have wrestled with my very liberal self over trans equity, but all I see is women being punished in the fall out of the woke ideologies that we now have to entertain. Award shows now not having female categories - so as seen in the Brit awards it was all Men who were up for the best artist so women are over looked. Trans females are allowed to compete in sports - as seen in swimming a biological man competing with women and literally blowing them out of the water and breaking all records. I am all for live and let live but not at the price of my fellow women having to take a back seat.

A woman would never say that.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 23/01/2023 16:25

You know that point a thread gets to where it's got more holes than Swiss cheese and you really have to start sitting on your hands not to go down in style....

Clearly Too Much Fun is being had by women with a sense of humour on this thread.

Boiledbeetle · 23/01/2023 16:24

Men can never be women, they don't get to belittle women then crack jokes after like it's all some fun game.

This shit is so Fucking past funny

DarkDayforMN · 23/01/2023 16:23

Imagine monitoring this thread just waiting for posts to report. 🤭

What a tragically sad existence. One could almost feel sorry for whoever's doing it, and yet somehow I don't. I have a feeling he's a very nasty piece of work.

I follow India on Twitter. (I follow lots of public figures) That was clearly a joke tweet.
Are people seriously taking it seriously?! 😂

None of Indias tweets are funny. Therefore not jokes

With a habitual liar who knows what to think.

I suspect this is why India is so angry all of the time.

That and all the wrong sex hormones fucking up their system.

There’s a Transgender Allowance?

Well fuck me sideways. Where do I sign up?

bellinisurge · 23/01/2023 16:17

@hamstersarse , I'm so sorry that this happened to you and to your friend's daughter.
It is shameful that women are expected to revisit trauma to explain why men are not welcome. And even more shameful that this trauma is ignored.

MrsMitford3 · 23/01/2023 16:16

I saw it on twitter as well.

I was unable to look at India's timeline as I am blocked-having never interacted or so much as looked at India's tweets. I assume India has mass blocked everyone following JK.

When you have to live in an echo chamber-surrounding yourself only with ppl who agree with you you must not feel very sure about the actual validity of your argument...

hamstersarse · 23/01/2023 16:15

My friend's daughter got raped a few months ago. It reminded me, despite the fact I knew it because of my own historical DV, of the absolute need to be nowhere near men in the aftermath.

I could not be around men (and I am just a family friend), her mother could not be around her own husband because he was male, and when the police sent round two burly policemen to talk to her after a specific request for a female officer, she shut down again for a few days losing crucial evidence. This is a visceral primal reaction of which you have no control over as a woman.

When I am reminded of what it means to actually be a woman at that level, it makes me angry to my core that people like India Willoughby are the way they are about women's rights.

It feels like we’re being bullied. Trans men don’t do this to men because they’d get a backlash too severe.

Yes, an interesting mix of female socialisation in transmen and awareness of the consequences from pissed off men if they tried it, seems to be keeping transmen from being nearly as batshit crazy in their assertions.

Giggorata · 23/01/2023 16:11

Performing femininity isn't being a woman.
