Glad to hear you're okay, purplecushion. And that your plans are going well, that's a nice distraction!

The section should be removed, yes, or have your name/image obscured. That wouldn't affect the rest of the story at all. I completely agree that your safety and wellbeing are imperative.

I know it feels shit right now, but as it's out there then you have to look for each and every positive to come from that part of your life and hold on to those.

You wouldn't be The strong person you are today, where you are, with the person you love and are about to marry if those things in your past hasn't happened.

You've met a whole group of women who until today didn't know you. We do now, that won't change tomorrow or next week, we'll still be here if you need us.

I appreciate this might not help much, so have wine🍷x

Just a quiet thank you to lovely mumsnetters for being great as usual. I am ok - my lovely almost-wife has been wonderful and basically abandoned her day to just be with me. We have a wedding venue and she took me out for dinner which was nice.

Wings over Scotland is adamantly refusing to take my section out so I'll be contacting Women's Aid & Scottish Women's Rights Centre tomorrow. I've also contacted gofundme to have the fundraiser removed.

If anyone else has any other ideas on how I can push for this, it would be welcome. Whilst you all do feel that this story needs told, I also feel that the safety of survivors is imperative.

Well I refuse to accept it as an excuse anymore.

In order to understand all sides of a debate I read material from all sorts of sources (some which i wish i could erase from my brain forever, looking at you and your penis montage Darren Mews) to ensure I have all views on a matter. If someone mentions a new source I go and read it.

If people aren't bothered to educate themselves then so be it. But they don't then get to say "I didn't know, I didn't realise, I thought they meant something else, I believed what they said".

I'm done with pathetic excuses.

I learnt all about key points of abuse from here, Lundy Bancroft etc and was able to support several close friends going through abuse and coercion with that info.

Congrats on your marriage, and well done for getting out of there, you've shown such strengh and courage. On the other hand, it surely is a good thing to have as many people as possible know that scum your abuser is, and see them for what they are. The screenshot where you are accused of changing as a result of fascist mumsnet is the only part of all that horror that made me smile - it's amazing how lifechanging having access to supportive women can be, no wonder men and transactivists hate mumsnet so much.

Thank you so much. And yes haha she used to stalk my internet history and hated that I was on Mumsnet but this website is the reason I left her. A website full of strong, wonderful women who are real champions of supporting survivors!

I wanted to add that I'm sorry for what happened to you, @thecaseofthepurplecushion , and that you've been the subject of further abuse. FWIW, I read the article feeling sorry for you and hoped that you'd been able to go on to a peaceful life but, while WoS clearly meant well by not linking to you now, the article has still outed you which it shouldn't have done. References to you should certainly have been removed once the harm it was doing was known.

Close off all of your social media, block those who are harassing you and I hope you enjoy your venue finding Flowers
