I'm sure Starmer will have misheard and in his kapok filled noodle head he will have heard " Starmer eats chips! "

He will put this down to the tra's supporting him over currygate, when presumably he'd have had rice, not chips, if he was really breaking the rules. He'll be doing a quick head count of attendees so that he knows how many votes he can depend on at the next election.

That headline "longest serving trans-gender prisoner" is pretty deliberately creating the impression that they were in prison for being transgender. or being transgender was somehow linked to the length of their sentence. Instead of the violence of their actions.

This article says Baker is the Labour candidate but I can’t find anything officially from Labour:

Wonder how many members voted in that selection? Can’t imagine the CLP is very big in a place that has never ever had a Labour MP nor placed higher than third…

It’s says that Baker intends to stand for GE in Richmond Park Constituency but Labour is a very poor third there so even if Baker is the Labour candidate (will look for more info on that) it doesn’t mean much!

Surely Starmer is going to have to have the party whips discipline those MPs? You can’t speak at a rally where the public is chanting against your own party leader?

(I’ve known Labour members be suspended simply for retweeting local Green candidates approvingly)

OMFG, the article casually mentions three or paragraphs in what this person was originally imprisoned for as if it were a mere trifling detail. The rest is a sob story about the background of this person whom this local rag clearly views as a fun, colourful character.
